    So I got my new alcohol stove and was excited to go out and have a play with it so I took the wife to the peaks so we could try the mulled rattler we got on our last trip to Cornwall. I really enjoyed using the stove and want to defiantly keep using it.

    Looking forward to seeing your wood burning experiment. I have the alcohol burner.
    Very pleased to see you using a windshield, Mine is a 100mm tall titanium foil strip (AliExpress) holes punched along bottom edge.
    3 sided (triangular) Potstand from 2mm diameter titanium rod (AliExpress);
    hair pins form 2 hinges to allow it to fold flat. When assembled an open spiral joins the 2 free legs together, with a for extra stability.
    Might make a Firefelt (AliExpress) jacket for the burner (disc bottom, strip side).
    Thanks for sharing. I have Subscribed.

    Your videos and editing have come on leaps and bounds 😊
    How much fuel does it use?

    • @A1rdy
      @A1rdy  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Thank you 😀 I normally fill the stove just above half full so 50ml and thats normally enough to make a brew or 2

    Check it out with hardwood pellets? I have a couple cups of pellets in my fire 🔥 kit, just in case I want one or have extra time to do some grilling 😆
    U can also use PET pop bottles for ur alcohol fuel, or lil baby food pouches. Or go on Amazon for HDPE bottles, from 30ml/1oz & up. Usually 1 or 2 oz fuel is good for a brew & a cup of noodles, depending on how efficient ur stove is, the ambient temps & the wind. Just be sure to let ur stove fully bloom b4 putting ur pot on. Alcohol is much fun, eh? 👍😎🤙
    I repurposed a lil 2oz container & it all fits in my 900ml pot & lid, 450ml cup & lid, stove, butane torch, windscreen & pot stand, tho both my cup or pot can sit directly on my stove's top ring of jets, making it more efficient & slowing the burn considerably.

      Good suggestion I will pick some pellets up and give it a go 😀 I do love some grilling.
      I picked up some bottles so thankfully dont have to keep carrying a litre of fuel with me haha
      I think I've started an addiction to alcohol stoves lol so much fun
      Sounds like an awesome set up you have 😀 Thanks for the comment and suggestions

      Ah sorry to hear that, is it the camera exposure you are referring to? If so I do later in the video give a more detailed look back in my office with better lighting so hopefully that helps 😀

      Yes, hard to see u against bright background, it makes everything: u and products too dark, u might need a fill light

      @@danielsingh9415Fair enough, I should have used the DLSR as the main cam and not my insta360. It's a bit hard to change the exposure on the insta360. Lesson learned Thanks for the feedback 😀

      It's been a good set up to be fair, I've been using it for wild camping and been enjoying using alcohol stoves rather than gas ☺️

    Looks like a good little stove setup. I agree with you that they're more fun to use than the jetboil. What is the big rush anyway? We're outdoors to enjoy it and even if it takes another few minutes to boil something, use that time to enjoy the surroundings😊
    I look forward to watching more of your videos and have subscribed 😁

      100% agreed so much more enjoyable taking in the surroundings and I find myself leaving the gas stoves at home and always packing an alcohol stove for the reason now 😁 Thank you for the Sub and I am glad you enjoyed the video ☺️
