People under look this fight for no reason, gajeel knew rogue when he was a kid, that’s why at first he said that rogue was wasting his time, he didn’t wanna hurt him. Then when rogue gets taken over we learn how they were sworn brothers and now gajeel absorbs the shadows. Gajeel did what he had to do to save someone he cared about, just like how he’s absorbed so much for levy

@@xpercade8926 well lightning palace would be next to useless in any situation except when you want maximum damage to civilians and spectators. since it attacks either everyone in vicinity or those that attack the lacrima. so you either attack civilians nearby or the enemy can just ignore those lacrima
Natsu and Gajeel did use those modes in the Tartaros arc. As for later, I can't speak for Gajeel but had his Fire Dragon King mode which is arguable stronger. Sure it's not as strong as it was when he had the last of Igneel's power, but it's still capable of immense power without it.
I didn't get how this works, honestly. Natsu once absorbed Laxus's magic and then finds out he now has Fire-Thunder dragon mode. Gajil absorbed shadow magic and used it only once. Yeah, he used it second time in the final arc, but he had to absorb shadow magic again from his enemy

Am i the only one who wonders why his breath attacks looks nothing like metal You can see the shadow part but the main beam thing just looks like some energy attack from dbz. It should have at least been grey
but why he didn't use this in the last battle in the sprigan arc...i mean if they cant reach that kind of power level without giving them in a battle or intentionally then those 7 dragon slayers should give it their power to each other... somethings like this laxuz give his power to natsu and become thunder flame dragon slayer natsu give his power to poison guy then that guy become poison fire dragon slayer poison guy give his power to windy and windy become wind poison dragon slayer windy give his power to laxuz then laxuz become wind thunder dragon slayer rogue give his power to gajeel and gajeel become shadow steel dragon slayer then gajeel give his power to sting then sting become steel light dragon slayer and sting give his power to rogue then rogue become shadow light dragon slayer (tartarus arc rogue achieve that power btw)
