Mr.Tarar is ill informed. Chabahar is a civil cargo port and not a naval port. Hampantota port in SriLanka is also a civil cargo port and not a naval one. Next door Hampntota airport built by the Chinese is given to India on long term lease.

A very good observation by Sajid Tarar about pointing out the trade deficit between India and China. Majority of people have an opinion that trade relations between India and China are the highest despite differences. However, India is totally dependent on China for sone of the products/components. Out of $136 billion trade, India's trade deficit is $102 billion. In the last five years, india's trade deficit is $487 billion. India is 100% dependent on electronic components, machinery components, surgical equipment components and many more. The USA transferred the technology to China for its requirements and China also copied or hacked the technology from the USA. India doesn't have those technologies. If the same thing continues for another five years, the trade deficit may reach $1k billion. India should plan accordingly to reduce its dependence on China. So, it must obtain the techology and materials from developed countries and minreal rich countries to become independent and then import those to other countries to compete with China. It will take at least ten years if India becomes dead serious right now.
