Ziptie trick is a good one, ive seen other techniques that use zipties, but I was not expecting yours though, thanks for shareing, enjoyed the teardown as well verry informative.
I just received mine today and took it out for a short ride to get a feel for it. The wheel rides so smooth and is very maneuverable. I'll be applying thread lock to all the hardware before I do any serious riding.
Just followed this to change from the stock Maxxis. Great video and huge improvement. Thanks! For me, it feels like there's a slight increase in braking wobble but much better turning and better overall.
Thanks, it is definitely a big step up from EX30 in term of performance and possible range. Though I'm not sure if one would upgrade to GT Pro+ if they already have an EX30, since these wheels does the same job.
Is indeed very similar to the commander mini. The suspension is probably a bit longer. Maybe I should tune my mini to a larger diameter .Love the 100 size tire, very curious how this rides
The stock tire profile is flat in the center, so it doesn't transition smoothly from going straight to turning, which means you have to lean harder. If you are having issues with turning, I recommend swapping to another tire that have a more V shaped profile like Michelin PS2 (Very agile) or City Grip (Medium Agile).
Ordered it, I used it on many wheels, nothing beats it. Took a maiden 50 mile trip on my gt pro +, and the Maxxis wasn’t great. Certainly looks good, but doesn’t cut it. Thanks so much for the video !
I can’t believe I wasn’t subbed to your channel, I’m the guy that you sold the Pads to for my CP 50s, the Black ones. Cheers Olympia WA.
That Michelin 100/90-14 tire looks great!

You're welcome! The Pilot 2 is definitely a little less stable overall because it's more nimble, but you'll get used to it after a few rides.
Very informative and really well produced!
Thanks Tep, fantastic video, very helpful. Looking forward to hearing more about it, and if it’s a serious upgrade from the Ex30?

Yes very helpful ,,, maxxis fights you on turns was 1st thing I noticed.. Will follow your recommendation

A wheel worth buying?
I’m curious why the Maxxis fights on turns? The profile looks fine, however I’m struggling on my left turns with it

How is the range ?
10-15% less than Master Pro.
