      Ye maybe but he was doing drugs and was drinking alot in college and it got worse each year he would probably be suspended for something. he was hangover alot in college and in the NFL. After he got drafted he was basically drunk every single time he wasnt playing football. 7 Weekends in a row that summer he was flying out to parties when he should have been reading his playbook.

    • @charlesdarks8850
      @charlesdarks8850 8 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      Forget the parties, he doesn't have 1/100 of the talent that Favre had.

    • @charlesdarks8850
      @charlesdarks8850 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      You don't know what you're talking about. Listen to Merrill Hoge, or every scout in the NFL. Manziel has an average arm, terrible accuracy, horrendous decision making and bad knowledge of defenses. The spread offense in the NCAA made a lot of bad QB looking great: Tebow, Andre Ware, David Klingler, and many others. Favre had one of the strongest arm ever, great accuracy and was a very good decision maker. He was drafted by the Falcons but Jerry Glanville didn't want him, a year later he was traded to the Packers and after 7 games he was a star. Manziel has been terrible from the start and in the second year was even worse.

    • @charlesdarks8850
      @charlesdarks8850 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I watched almost every game of Manziel as a pro and he's been awful. I suggest you to watch Tebow or Klingler stats and games in college and compare them to stats and games in the NFL.

    • @charlesdarks8850
      @charlesdarks8850 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      I'm wasting my time anyway in his last game he went 13 for 32 for 136 yards with a pick. The following week he was benched for the great Austin Davis.

    • @davidgarp7104
      @davidgarp7104 7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Charles Darks Favre wasn't special physically except for a huge arm and good accuracy (which you can get from practicing hard and studying the game and it's players), he had all the intangible. He learned to have determination and never stop playing or practicing. Look at his time with the Falcons he didn't care and was on the path of Johnny manziel until he was sent to packers and was inspired to play.

    I know people are going to give me shit for this but I believe Manziel is a very talented football player. No he might not be good enough for the NFL, yet, but no team has really given him a chance. I believe if a team were to be fully invested in him he would improve. He reminds me a lot of Russell Wilson. But then again he's fucking up off the field.

    • @billynamer
      @billynamer 8 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I dont ever see him playing in the NFL again to be honest . This kid jus doesn't get it....either that or he jus doesn't care. you wanna go party and be an idiot on social media everyday and go to clubs every night well then cool go have fun and live your life and enjoy it but good luck being a qb in the NFL. Even as a backup. nobody wants that headache. There will come a time when the moneys all gone, all your so called "homies" are gone and nobody will even care about the latest manziel news. You don't care now but will when its all gone and that's exactly where its headed and fast. I give it 2 or 3 years to where ppl dont even wanna talk about him. hope he gets it together cause he's fun as hell to watch but its one or the other man. plenty of ppl to replace you. best of luck to him though

      He is human like all of us man... If can stay sober like says been doing and plans to come back 2017 season then I think he can if he keep his head on his shoulders and doesnt mess it up...He has the ability to be a great starting QB if he just stays out of trouble and grows up little...he young..he left to early from Texas A&M he should played through his whole college career... he didnt know how to handle the pressure of being heisman he got more attention than anyone else as college QB...give him break little the kid got a chip on his shoulder...who wouldnt win you were the limelight not only at Texas A&M but the ESPN and the NCAA thats a lot handle for a freshmen and then sophomore in college. give him some time he will get together.

    Johnny Manziel deserves everything that he received these past few years. Manziel started from the top and his actions have made himself sink to the bottom from drugs and alcohol. I admit he was a great star but those days are over, so the fact that you suggest that he will rise to be a NFL player gain is astonishing.

    • @SRH183
      @SRH183 8 ปีที่แล้ว

      He doesn't cause its the same mistakes over and over. He's still saying to this day he might drink again. Its been reported a lot of teams don't like his drinking and then he says that? Most of his problems are alcohol related. He hasn't learned from his mistakes so why take a chance on him. A smart man never repeats the same mistakes twice. I wish things turned out differently cause he'd be fun as hell to watch every Sunday running around, but at this point he's doing this all to his self. As soon as a team shows interest, he fucks up again.

    Saban says hes like Flutie... I dont know why Manziel doesnt go play in the CFL like him. Play for Toronto... Hang out with Drake and work your way back to the NFL... I just wanna see some Johnny Football again!

    I'll also add that I don't buy "he can't play just because he's short." Wilson is the exact same height as Manziel (5'11). Working hard, not making excuses, and not partying are the difference between the two men.

    As I watch Kyler Murray and Baker Mayfield, I think about how badly Johnny wasted his talent. Johnny could have been special had he only loved playing football more than he loved partying. I still hope it's nto too late for him, although it probably is.

    Forget about comeback, how about cleaning up his own life. You cannot make a comeback if you're dead. Remember his father said that he doesn't think that his son will make it to 24 (this December). Hope he's wrong.

    waiting for the headlines to read former QB and Heisman trophy winner has died due to over dose....// NOW he is no dam Tim tebow .... tebow has HEART no shinny bling bling $$ he just played the game most teams want a player who will bring excitement they don't give a dam about off the field shit , just fill the seats and win games ( to a point ) I would take Tim over Johnny any day ... but who's still in the pros between the two of them lol where's Johnny ...... he's washed up

    Call me fucking insane, but I want to see him at Washington. Kirk has no competition with Colt McCoy and I think signing Manziel is so crazy, it just might work. Tbh and sound crazier, I think I'd take Johnny over Lamar Jackson.

    This is actually a cool video. I feel bad for Manziel. Im a hardcore Cleveland fan and know that Manziel didnt stand a chance here. Our coaching and basically whole organization is messed up and they put a lot of blame on him, as well as enabled portions of his behavior. Manziel does need to get his shit straight though. He is good enough to play in the nfl. Maybe not a top talent put he can have his own place as a starting qb. With the right coaching staff and a 100% turnaround, its not impossible.

  • @andywaterworth4570
    @andywaterworth4570 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    Amazing prospect but doesnt seem to be able to cut it in the NFL, albeit behind a poor O line at Cleveland. He gave the impression that he thought he'd already made it. Look at Prescott & Winston, heads down, learning the game. D teams learn very quickly how to play against a QB or at least try to contain him. Added to that, he probably cant even see over the pocket!!

  • @nineballing1
    @nineballing1 8 ปีที่แล้ว

    No return I suspect.... the experience he had with the Browns, a team that doesn't play the most difficult schedule in the league (that is a extreme under statement), was poor at best. Noticed that in most of the passing reception highlights, he is passing to wide open receivers. The plays were either broken-down extended plays or missed defensive assignments on receivers. The NFL is not college, rarely does a defender get completely burned by a receiver.

  • @georgedb91

    damn shame. I hope he gets his life right and makes it in the NFL, but if I'm being honest he probably won't. He's rich kid that grew up without rules. What did people expect.

    If Manziel can stop his dumb childish games and getting in trouble and just focus on football then maybe a nfl team will draft and possibly have a awesome career but if that doesnt happen the R.I.P what could have been one of the greatest quarterback careers of a lifetime.

    I think if the signing autographs in college for money he would be a starter for the Browns rn or probably a better team that's the reason why he really got drafted so late..after that I think his head got fucked up going from heisman to late first round I hope for the best for money manziel tho
