    Great work boss! Dragons are amazing. This is exactly how wheels should feel and slide.

      Ayyy appreciate you homie! You are the reason I put a set of the 60mm dragons on my downhill setup. Been loving all of your raw runs on powell’s channel🤙

    Got the Nano Cubics a month ago. They are excellent for the metal ramps at the skatepark down the street from my house because they are a little soft. They also do well at the few concrete parks i skate as well. 97A Nano Cubics also allow me to lock in grinds easier. One thing they're also good with is climbing over coping or sometimes bonking over metal edges on skatepark ledges. I like to do bump to ledge at one park near me and if I do a lazy frontside 180 I end up lower on the side of the ledge but the coned outside edge bonks and rides up onto the ledge easy compared to symmetrical wheels. I've accidently landed in a bluntslide a few times.

    i really like the x97, i have the 56mm v6. i'm also eastern US, so i'm used to rougher ground/asphalt. i might suggest waxing your trucks, take them apart and wax all contact points and shave wax into pivot cup. keeps them from sticking/squeaking.

      I definitely want to give the x97 a try one day, but I’ve also heard the nano cubics are very similar, and that’s what I normally ride!

      @@maxxthemelonhead haven't tried the nano cubics. they should be similar. i didn't really like them being asymmetrical, maybe good for freestyle

    I love these wheels! I keep going back to them (probably cause i'm 46 and they're easier on the feet lol) I also have the Bones x97....Going from 93 to 97 is a HUGE difference. I wish those new Spitfire were 95 instead of 93 though.🤦‍♂

      I definitely want to give the x97 a try as well as the new spitfires! It seems to me the new spitfires might be closer to a 95a in feel, at least from the reviews that I have watched recently!

      @@maxxthemelonhead I'm definitely trying them too. The x97 feels like a hard wheel to me which is why I went back to the dragons. 🤞 I'm 99% of the time on crunchy asphalt so soft wheels work wonders haha.

    yeah, dragons! mine are down to 43mm and I still shred em in the streets.
    they are definetely my favourite wheels to powerslide with, cause they do slide very well on any ground, except for very smooth skatepark ground, where they are a bit sticky, but still do slide with some effort.
    and at the same time I never lose control over the slide with them, whereas F4 are harder to break into a slide on street and then feel like I dont have much control and tend to slip out.
    dragons are hands down the best wheels for street skating.
    nano cubics are also great, but their slide is a bit less controllable.

      Wow!! All the way down to 43mm is wild! Good on you, I definitely agree with everything you said about them🙌

    I love my dragons but the Nano's IMO are my fav. Of course, I'm a 40 year old dude who just started skating last year so I don't have a huge comparison, I have skated the dragons, nano's and some basic spitfire OG's.

    • @maxxthemelonhead
      @maxxthemelonhead  5 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Nanos have definitely been my go to for a while! I actually want to try the spirfire OGs as well as the new soft sliders too though!

      Holy cow! Just got to the power slide section! Can’t agree more. I’m 50ish and I’ve been rolling since’86, these wheels RULE! The slide is so much better than a 97 or above!🐉🐲🐉🐲🐉🐲

    • @maxxthemelonhead
      @maxxthemelonhead  5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I personally don’t do any grab tricks with em, just boardslide variations, so that’s why I put them closer together, for a quicker, smoother slide!
