Congrats on your subscribers! Thanks for showing the 20x20s! I needed to see some quality small renderings! Had shoulder surgery recently and can’t use my right arm (my dominant side). Got out the smallest kits in my stash to teach my left hand how to diamond paint. These were the 20x20s I bought before I knew better. Gave me a chance to not just teach my left hand how to place drills, but to swap out colors or portions with ABs or metallics. My hand caught on, but the kits had way too many small sections on the canvases that weren’t reflected by the colors listed. Still, working on any canvas has been my main activity and the key to my sanity while healing. Love your channel…and your dragons!
Hi! Oh my goodness! 😧. Im so sorry about your shoulder! I hope it is feeling better! Great idea, to use diamond painting to provide your other arm therapy!! 😀. I genuinely love the 20x20s, especially when working on a difficult or large canvas, and I just want to finish something!! 😄. While it’s true you sometimes lose a little bit of detail, a lot of manufacturers have realized it, and have made adjustments (i.e., bigger eyes, larger fingers/toes, a couple of extra colors for shading, etc.,) that I think make the snack size canvases more fun to do!! So glad you visited today, warched and commented! I’m really happy you’re here! I’m sending healing thoughts to uour shoulder! Hope you are back in the “diamond painting saddle” again very soon! Where do you get your release paper and what kind is it?
Hi! I use the plastic cover that comes on the painting, rather than release paper. (It’s already there, I can see the canvas through it, and I can toss it away in pieces as I go! 😀). However, the best source I have seen people be really happy with their release paper purchase is Crafts with Crashley. They have an Etsy store, just put that name on the search engine! Is there a certain kind of sealer that you use?
Hi Pamela! I really like Minwax Polycrylic! The problems Ive encountered with other sealants (i.e., dulling the diamond sparkle, yellowing, peeling with age, not keeping the drills in place, etc.,) don’t seem to happen with the Minwax! I buy a good sized can and it lasts for ages, as a little goes a long way! I have a video here on the channel, showing how I use it, and more in depth what I like about it!
