Portland Brewer Um what?? You can clearly see she’s not able to express her feelings to her parents and she says they always take things the wrong way which is exactly what went on in my household. I could never talk without them trying to argue or shut me down. That’s the issue with black households, y’all act like kids don’t have feelings and that’s why depression is so common among teens in the black community. Every since I moved for college I’ve been feeling better not being in the house anymore.

I am not sure how your household is but I never raised my voice at my mother so she always says she respect for that if she matching yelling with yelling whos really listening seems like everyone is just listening to respond.
