I just caught the last half hour of the movie, but it made Me realize how John Wayne became so successful. To all the critics, remember that They didn't have any of the sophisticated special effects that We have been granted. I love it because its raw and lately I've come to appreciate the older movies more than the new ones, where they are blown out of proportion.
Of all the early John Wayne B-Westerns - I love the opening of this film most of all - very good - it has stayed with me longer than many blockbusters set pieces
Except for the girl, after Matt the mute blew her half way house sky high, which she inherited. Randy should have obtained her permission before leaving dynamite in that safe.
Thanks. This is a great popcorn movie and we see JW on his way up the ladder to success. So, I tip my hat to the horse and rider at: 00:50:07. The fall happens so fast then crash, ouch! The horse chase at the end brings back memories of being younger and riding and racing rental horses with my friends. I've fallen off enough enough horses and a couple of times, I've had them go down head first. Happens real fast. Don't tense up!
Great movie. However the plot is somewhat unbelievable. If a girl's father is murdered, leaving lots of money. And she runs off with the guy implicated. Someone is going to hang.
I liked the desert music w a Mexican scene. Wonder if any of those bottles have water or sasperilla. Halfway ? Probably I couldn't make it 5/8 of the way after stopping to clear dust from me throat after alcohol .
The guy checks waynes gun and sees no bullets missing and says to wayne reloaded hey? Wayne just stands there quiet 😂😂😂 instead of saying i never shot my gun feel and see if its warm or smell it. He just stands there. I lose interest when a movie is this phony. Its not even believe able.
This possibly the worst wstern ever, no plot, lying female, bullets that travel less than speed of sound, hero parks his horse where even the dumest of lawmen can find it...in the open, to fill screen time we get horse chase in open country and the list goes on

It's nice to be able to watch just a good, 𝘤𝘭𝘦𝘢𝘯 movie.
These movies were all shot in three and one half days. Remarkable for their time.
With a tight schedule and budget, they had little or no time for second takes if something gets screwed up.
A gorgeous movie
Nice movie. Loved it
PizzaFlix - thanks for posting!
John did not hear the several horses riding in, but they were very quiet-hehehe, good old movies
Great western
And they lived happily ever after

Gabby is clean-shaved. handsome man.
the second time they heard the horses
wonderful
Lovely 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽✨
The world has supernaturally changed. George hates indeed. This movie is from a different time line. Think about it.
Joe Hickman
Yeah Joe, it certainly has changed. I'm guessing this movie was made in the early 1940's. Not sure though.
Gabby Hayes a BAD GUY, what is this world coming two.!!!!!!!
i dont remember background music being in this film.seen this film countless times,i think the uploaders ,they added music .
Thanks!
Except...what happened to the Halfway House? Blown to smitherines and turned into a Rehab :P
Rob, right but you’re not supposed to give away the ending.😄👍
Good
47:21...lol !
What happpened to the sound? Not in sync
Great movie. However the plot is somewhat unbelievable. If a girl's father is murdered, leaving lots of money. And she runs off with the guy implicated. Someone is going to hang.
The added music ruins the movie
24:22-23...delayed ballistics audio! Lol
Sunny, the sound and action are on two separate tapes. They didn’t put the two in sync.
Ten na bielom koni , to nie je Miklos Horthy ?
The music horrible
I liked the desert music w a Mexican

Terrible acting with bad delivery lines but good old movie for its day. I wonder if any horses got hurt in making the film

Trust me, there are worse. There were over 600 B-westerns made in the 30's and with good fortune, most did not survive.
