- My brother had been away for over a year & nobody thought we'd get to see him for Christmas. We found out that he did get to come home after all & decided not to tell my mother. We told mom that they could receive videos so we were going to send him a little Christmas message that they'd show all the soldiers who couldn't be home with their families

Beautiful. Very touching and very emotional moving. I say this is the best thing that can ever happen to you in your life. I have been through HELL without actually being at war literally, but when I came home from institution (it was Godawful!) the last time I cried for hours and hours I was so relieved to be home. Now I'm working much harder on staying together with my family and giving them the love they missed this whole summer while I was away. As someone who has come home this is beautiful for me to see. For you Christy this must be heaven on earth. I hope he stays safe and I wish you all many wonderful times together,

I love watching this video and the homely atmosphere and especially the mother's reaction! I lost my mother when I was 9 years old. I wouldn't know what it would be like to reunite, but I have my family I haven't seen in 17 years. I plan on seeing them hopefully in October of this year. That's when the Alaska Federation of Natives is (a pow wow for Alaskan Natives). Bless her heart for her son giving her such a great Christmas present and surprise! Much love and respect for the soldier!
