Excellent work of the special services in the conditions of war. I'm glad to hear that. The sabotage continues and the inspection measures are justified.
Why are you glad the sabotage continues? It's because of ignorant people like you supporting Ukraine that this tragedy continues. It could have never started if the Americans had just stayed the hell out of other people's business.
In January in the Moscow region on Epiphany (January 19) it is usually (but not always) very cold -15...-20C. These frosts are also called the Epiphany frosts, which last for about one week. But in general, winters in Russia, at least in the Moscow region where I live, have become much warmer in recent years than in my childhood. Climate warming on Earth is no joke
Thank you for the information. It's very interesting, it's good to know what to expect and come prepared. Actually, I will be taking part in the baptism ceremony on the eve of the Epiphany and taking the plunge into the cold waters. Watch out for that video.
You lucky they didn't treat you like they treat the Russians in the west ; were they rob them of all thier possessions acuse them of crimes they don't comit just to humiliate them ,when they don't desapear them
I love how upon seeing and feeling snow your Scottish accent instantly got so much thicccer. Sorry if our feds roughed some feathers. After all, you are a Brit, with a Ukrainian wife. They are just doing their jobs. I think if a Chinese man with a Russian wife would be trying to enter Ukraine to live in Kyiv, they would spend some time crossing the border too. At least this should make you feel a bit safer once you are here (not really lol).
The problem is that for Ukrainians, entry to Russia is only through Sheremetyevo Airport and a conversation with the special services. This is the reality and you have to understand the reasons. But at the same time, a Ukrainian can now easily obtain Russian citizenship in 10 to 90 days, depending on registration there. In any case, I realized that you overcame all the difficulties and were missed. Welcome!))
That's a very balanced assessment. We reached the same conclusion. It wasn't pleasant but we completely understood why it happened and that helped us bring the whole ordeal into perspective. Thank you for you welcome!
Welcome to Moscow, we regret what you had to endure at the airport, but unfortunately, we cannot do without such security measures. The recent terrorist attack in Moscow is proof of this. 33 years ago we lived in the same country, but already in 1992, when the Armed Forces of Ukraine was created, only those officers who confirmed their readiness to fight Russia during the interview were appointed to command positions. I hope that everything will be fine for you in Russia, take care of yourself and wear a hat, otherwise you may get sick.
We completely understand. It was an ordeal but know why we had to go through it and it hasn't left any scars. We are already enjoying some of the many great things this beautiful country has to offer our family. As for the hat... my partner always complains when I don't wear one, great advice.
@@NonWokeBloke A friend of mine lives in Donetsk. A week before the start of the SVO, Donetsk began to be shelled by the Ukrainian Armed Forces in a way that had not been shelled since 2014. The whole calculation of this provocation was that Russia would respond to the shelling and give a pretext for introducing "sanctions from hell". After which, Russia would capitulate in about 6 months due to the sanctions. And then they would begin to weaken and rob China. But Russia was supported by the Arab countries and did not increase oil production (the Saudis said they would be able to do so no earlier than 2027). India buys our oil, makes fuel and resells it to Europe. Russia could, having gathered all its armed forces, defeat Ukraine in 2-3 months, but from the very beginning this was a war with the globalists. Therefore, now we are seeing a repeat of "Napoleon's army march on Moscow". The arsenals of NATO countries are empty and they have no time for China. But the people of Ukraine suffer the most from this war. And more than any other country, Ukrainians have left for Russia. Now I'm watching the "Country Acres" channel. A family of farmers from Canada with 8 children have arrived and are building a house in the Nizhny Novgorod region. They already have about 200 thousand subscribers. Take a look, maybe something will be interesting to you. Good luck to you in your new place. I think you made the right choice.
Thank you. I agree with your assessment. I have thinking friends around me and we do not buy into the Western narrative. I'm please the story has not played out how they hoped but just like you I am shocked and saddened by the devastation that Western power hungry fools have brought on the people of Ukraine (and the Russian armed forces) as well as harvesting a country of it's resources and leaving it broken. It is sick what man will do for power. As for the Canadian family I have watched some videos with interest. I am very please for them. Thank you for your detailed comment. I hope it get read many times.
Congrats on moving to Russia! Is there a way to contact you? We have a group for expat youtubers in Russia, some with families too. I’m sure it would come in handy for you :)
Даже если вам кажется что не очень холодно, всего -3 и можно шапку не надевать, это ошибка! В России зимой всегда надевайте шапку, даже если +5, потому что вас будут ругать русские бабушки, за то что ходите без шапки))
When I was in Kiev 5 years ago I remember the mix. I remember a little hostility then too. I was corrected by a waiter for saying thank you in Ukrainian. He told me to say it in Russian. The person I was with got into an argument with him. That event stuck in my mind. However, I have little experience so I do not know the pulse of the Ukrainian heartbeat.
Not yet. She is still living in our old house in Marbella with a good friend. We intend to bring her over (and two cats) at the end of the summer. We are travelling to the Altai Republic in the spring/summer and thought it best to wait until we get back from there and possibly change the apartment for a house outside the city. We'll see, plans constantly fluctuate.... but we all miss her like crazy.
I think they should have a higher priority for people with little kids and for the elderly at the Russian customs. Yes, you should have asked for water. If they saw you had kids, I don't see why they wouldn't give you some bottled water.
I'm certain they'd have given us water, we never ran out so never needed to ask. I do wish we had been prioritised but we fully understand they need to keep Russia safe and we are grateful for this as we live here now too.

I need a fur hat, not a tinfoil one.
@bossdog1480 , my sentiments exactly!
The main thing is that everything ended well. If you were missed, it means that you are good people!)
That's right. Now we are here and enjoying our new life in Russia.
When I started watching your videos about 1.5 hours ago, you had 88 subscribers. Now, it is 94. Nice sub growth.
It has gone up quickly. I'm very pleased.
Не ходи без шпаки.
You are actually blessed with beautiful winter welcome)
Yes, it has been wonderful so far. We are really enjoying the beautiful winter. Thank you.
Yeah, it appeared that you used the most difficult way to enter Russia. Wish your family all the best and smooth settling in Russia.
You got that right! Thank you for your warm wishes, it's very much appreciated.
The funny thing is - now, when you inside Russia and watch the news, you'll quickly understand that these security measures are absolutely necessary.
yeah, we are attacked on every front imaginable. even our ships in the Mediterranean
Yes. We obviously didn't enjoy the process, but fully understand and support their necessity.

Some people had to learn Ukrainian, including their current president, lol.
Yes, I had heard that! Total hypocrisy.
But he still doesn't speak it well, about the same as he speaks English 😂
@@k1ssulja Really? Wow!
Everyone we knew in Kiev spoke Russian - Pre 2014
Only in Lvov we struck some negativity towards Russian language in one shop
