That's good to know! I'm a first year gardener and a neighbor gave me a Purple Heart plant. I'm in VA near the Chesapeake Bay and I was worried that it would die because of the cold! It's been getting down to the upper 30's here at night. Nothing like the cold you guys get though! You give me hope!

I propagated them in a full pot of water and changed the water every two weeks for 2 months and the root system was so strong for replanting!!

I got yesterday 2 small pieces from my neighbor.Put them to the glass full of water and waiting for roots.
