I'm a few years into My veggie garden journey and I'm still learning and adapting. From testing out which seeds to start when, what I can seed start or direct sow in the ground when, etc. I've even had a struggle this year and it's kind of getting me down. But I'm still being optimistic about it too.
Don’t put yourself down, Kylie. I think you’re doing a great job. I’m impressed with your gardening skills. I don’t have a green thumb but lucky that my husband does 😉
When ever you go by your plants, brush your hand on the tops of the plant. This makes the plant stronger. Also lettuce and carrots can be planted directly into your raised beds. Good luck. Each year is different with gardening , but we always have hope!
Kylie, you’re doing awesome! At the flower shops I’ve worked at, we just always called them glads. It may be grape hyacinth in your yard.🪻You’ve got me starting my own garden too. Thank you for always sharing 💕 -TNT
I’m learning to grow too ! I’ve learned that some vegetables need direct sun so they love being outside. They also need wind to get stronger roots. Also fertilizer once they get going. Keep on growing and learning. Don’t give up. Oh squash vines and grows huge so you can stake them like tomatoes 💡
Keep an eye out for squash vine borers. I live in GA and they didn’t show up until around June or July last year but they can kill your squash. Check under the leaves for eggs as the squash grows if you are growing them. They are our nemesis lol.
You have to start somewhere with gardening and it's a learning process. Any mistakes you make, you'll know what to do the next year. You're doing great so far, so don't worry if something doesn't work out!
Plants wilt naturally to conserve water and energy so sometimes just wait until evening and see if they perk up before watering them because you may be overwatering them.
Some stuff might be getting too hot in your room. The lettuce and cilantro dont like warm weather. Leaf lettuce is the easiest, and cilantro is a pain in the butt to find just the right temp for it to thrive. Carrots are the bane of my existence. My fav veg, and I struggle with finding the right soil for more than a few to come up.
I would question, because you have a gorgeous solarium, maybe too much sun with the grow lights. I would maybe turn the grow lights off and leave the starts on the warming pads? And use the lights on cloudy days? Maybe? I have been gardening, in my own garden for 35 years. But technically, 50 years if you include my parents gardens, which were always glorious.
Pretty sure the purple flower is Lupine. Love your honesty in all your vids. Your video I guess is “bad” for business because they profit off of all these sick kid videos. Censorship in all forms is bs. I understand why you get a sick feeling in your stomach because your First Amendment rights have basically been completely taken away. Keep us posted on your appeal. If you go forward with it keep up the great work with your vlogs. You are pushing boundaries and this is a good thing. Your voice is important. Never stop!
hello kiki and how your own day and night going and have you thought about live streaming on twitch and kick and youtube and tiktok and discord and patreon and rumble at the same time at once in the future
My kids think you are a famous famous TH-cam because I have watched you for so long and think you should give me a shout out so I can be the coolest mama ever to have a famous TH-cam know of my existence 😂😂😂❤ we also used to live in Ohio. One of my sons was born there and loves that you liv e there. And my husband was raised in Illinois 🎉🎉 small world
I know it’s not intentional but “The Great War” is WWII. Talking about getting meet and greet tix is a little disrespectful to the veterans of that war.
I’ll be honest I might feed Jarvis’s ego.. I miss him being on the vlogs from time to time 😅The two of you together always make me chuckle.
I can't believe this is day 251 of vlogust
lol true

I am actually begging for Jarvis 😂😂😂 I commented this yesterday, but I’ll say it again: would love a podcast from you two
A pod cast with them would be sooooo fun❤

The bluey purple bubble thing is a grape hyacinth, they smell amazing and come back year after year.
Gardening is hardddddd. I’ve been doing it for seven years and I take years off bc of how much work it is. Don’t give up. It’s a practice.
I’m pretty sure that the little purple flower is a grape hyacinth. They come up every year! So pretty!💜
But of course…I could be totally wrong. Lol

I found planting from seeds to be difficult. Just buy plants, instant gratification. (Herbs & flowers)

Come on Jarvis! Give the people what they want!😂

Lettuces can be pretty close together. If you wanted to put some in between your current ones, the would be fine.
when i saw the title , i thought you meant in toon town lol
Glad-Ee-Oh-Lahs :)
You’re doing great and keep learning. There’s a book called Mini Farming Self Sufficiency on a 1/4 Acre by Brett L. Markham that I would recommend.
when i saw the purple flower i thought "grape hyacinth"
Also it’s good to put small rocks at the bottom of the pot so your plants have good drainage.
We miss you Jarvis!
❤❤❤
Please do not get down on your gardening. Some plants can be very persnickety - you are doing great.
