- Anti aromatic : planar , conjugated carbocyclic polyenes that are less stable than their open-chain analogues having 4nπelectrons in complete delocalisation (eq 4,6 etc) are called anti-aromatic species.
Non Aromatic -completely conjugated carbocylic polyenes whos stability is comparable to thier open-chain analouges are called non armoatic.
Aromaticity:- Huckel's rule :
i. Aromaticity is a character of cyclic and planar molecule , having (4n+2)\pielectrons in complete decolacalisation of \pielectrons where n is any positive integer !
What characterizes an aromatic compound it's cyclic, planar, and have a conjugated system of p orbitals perpendicular to the plane of the molecule, and this conjugation makes the molecule very stable.
So a non aromatic compound is either not cyclic or not planar. And an anti aromatic compound is cyclic, planar and has the conjugation of p orbitals, but the difference is the number of electrons in the conjugated p orbitals.
While aromatic compounds follows Hückels rule and has 4n + 2 electrons conjugated we can say the orbitals are 'full', an anti aromatic compound just have 4n electrons conjugated so the molecule is very reactive.

Your videos are great...but i have a doubt.....in 19:50 if [18]-annulene follows (4n+2) huckle's rule and if [18]-annulene is "annulene" which means conjugation + sp2 hybridization indicating planar molecular, then hw does [18]-annulene come in the case of exceptions? Like for example [10]-annulene should be aromatic but it is non-aromatic thus it makes sense that [10]-annulene comes in the category of "exceptions"..but regarding [18]- annulene, i do not understand y it comes under "exceptions".
