i love the healing effect on radiant, and how much you can survive. I'd definitely be trying this out in a couple of games. can definitely see the damage drawbacks but i think it's kinda worth the survivability
Ive played pyke way back in the day like this and i agree this is less punishing but it also plays much more into the support aspect of the champ, not the assassin soloing squishies with armor pen. I like it a lot. I think the correct way to play pyke is a mix of this with certain defensive damage items like umbral glaive or edge of knight similar to guardian angel. The whole point of his passive health to ad conversion is so he can build support items

It is entirely dependent on you creating a snowball which is difficult on a severely lowered power spike as while the 57 AD is nice he gains no survivability to get the pop. His problem isn't that the concept is bad the problem lies with the anti-synergy between how Pyke works and how heartsteel works. Resistances are the way to go if you want tank Pyke. In no way am I saying you can't make heartsteel Pyke work as you can, it is just choosing to take a disadvantage at a low possibility to scale. It is a problem you are going to have to theory craft to compensate for and you are going to have to compensate hard
Heartsteal gives more hp when you proc it, the more hp you have, and since pyke can’t grow his hp pool, it gives less than you would think. BUT yes. Infinite ad. Yes

is this the build to play if you don't want to get out scaled is what im thinking now. Pyke normally is in a race against time to get work done before he gets outscaled in the mid to late game, this build keeps him relevant at that point maybe ?
Nice job shutting down that dude who badmouthed nb3 for no reason So anyways I've been cooking this new Rakan build which I tried in Arena but decided to try it in Summoner's Rift as well It's basically Full heal and shield Rakan with Moonstone as mythic and then all enchanter items with heal and shield power like (Redemption, Ardent, Staff of Flowing Water, Chemtech Putrifier for antiheal) Knights Vow is really effective too for extra peel for adc + healing on it is amplified by heal and shield power This build turns Rakan into aoe healing and shielding menace, at 3 items you'll find your passive giving you 500 hp shield even tho you don't have that much ap, Your E and Q are much stronger and bounce back to you and your team I tried it with Summon Aery, Manaflow, Transcendence, Gathering Storm, Revitalize and Font of Life But I think Guardian is good too Could you try making a video on it?
i think what makes viable this build is the fact u heal allies and get assist gold because if u miss the ult but still heal and ur allies kill them u get gold! If i am you i would only take radiant and 2 other tanks item then go for damage

Where is it taking over challenger? I'm only seeing classic AD builds on all challenger Pykes i'm checking out. Edit : highest (and only) Radiant Pyke i can find is T1 Kenshin at grandmaster and close to 50% wr on his radiant attempts. Edit2 : I0ki shares the name Renascor at the end (thanks man) : seems he played it once on his main account (Renascor, Master 47 LP) 12 days ago, and proceeded to keep playing "classic" AD Pyke on his other account (Renascor2, GM 303LP) afterwise. While it's all fun and games, the title seems completely misleading :-/.

In the last two weeks theres attempts at tanking builds with the glacial runes but no Radiant (Zhonya + Solari Locket) which seem to not perform well so far (13 loses 6 wins). Maybe there's some other accounts though? Or the video has been made during an initial winstreak of the glacial/tank/zhonya tests? I'm sorry to nitpick, i'm kind of a stats /builds nerd and just try to make sense of the build and check how it performs after being hyped from the video's title.

Moonstone doesn’t work that way, pyke’s passive does not proc moonstone so he would not heal anyone

I feel like trying to avoid health items is a mistake. Health increases your ad on pyke so might as well get concerted dmg
The problem is that the healing scales with hp and pyke cant go hp.
