Perfect SUNRISE HIKE at LITTLE ADAM'S PEAK in Ella, Sri Lanka! 🇱🇰

- Ella is a town in Sri Lanka's Hill Country surounded by a lot of natural beauty. This town is also a great starting point for people who enjoy hiking. BUT there are also some incredible views to be seen without having to hike for hours. In this video, I go on a sunrise hike to the top of Little Adam's Peak to be amazed by the first beams of light flowing over Ella.

Growing up in Sri Lanka and now travelling all over especially in hot places the rhythm I've got is wake up an hour before sunrise to do active stuff for 4h or so, then travel and do things indoors till a few hours before sunset to do active stuff again. So do less during the hottest times and you see more wildlife and have less crowds.
Where are you traveling now? And yes beating the heat is better for activities and wildlife sightings 😊

If you are hiking in a leech-rich area, carry a small bottle with salt water. When a leech latches on, just squirt some salt water on it and the leech will fall off.
That is a great tip, thank you! Should have known about this before filming the upcoming videos, could have saved some hassle haha.
@@talesofodyssey Haha! If you are exploring anywhere in or around the center of Sri Lanka (especially if its raining in these areas), you will most likely encounter a lot of leeches. Another way is to rub some soap on exposed areas of the skin, it helps prevent leeches from latching on. Problem with that is, if it rains it'll just wash off 😆

Rub laundry detergent on your feet or wear socks immersed and squeezed to remove wetness ( without being rinsed) on your feet to prevent leeches clinging to your feet.

Wow ! what a lovely video :) I am planning to visit Sri Lanka in Dec. How much time does it take to reach Adam's peak? I am going with my parents and they are 60+ age, will it be okay to take them there?
So this is Little Adam’s peak! Adam’s Peak is a proper hike. If they are somewhat fit I think this will be fine, but just know it could be a slightly intense. But also don’t take only my word for it, I don’t know your fitness level etc 😊

Thank you for your concern. However in the over 2 months that I have been here, I haven’t had a single incident where I have felt unsafe for specifically being a woman. Like many countries I think you need to take precautions, but I would highly recommend Sri Lanka to anyone as I have met many amazing people and the country is beautiful.
