All the symbolism that Miley Cyrus is constantly portraying, like one-eye, snake tongue,etc.. to say we're not sure where her faith is seems a little naive, since we shall know them by their fruits. Of course we make judgments everyday, and paying attention to how someone's acting, their lifestyle, and making decisions based on that is important and more biblical that trying to stay impartial. We can pray for her, but even the Bible says don't pray for certain people and as they are so far out of God's will that He will not hear prayers for them. We don't know what that line is, but surely some of the things that are going on in Hollywood have crossed lines. I would stop and take notice if she was expressing sincere regret and lamenting her previous actions, but I don't see that. Unfortunately, she's another Hollywood puppet placed there to create a following so she can leave them straight to hell..
'We, as Christians don't stand over the bible and critique it, we let the bible critique us.' Well said. So many in modern churches are looking for the former!
Yes, BUT that doesn't mean your parents beliefs were right. Perhaps they've interpreted or were taught wrong. Many Christian churches teach awful things.
I know the Bible mentions not neglecting "church," but I've come to that place after years of hearing utter nonsense taught in churches. It's so discouraging! I'm 64 & have attended many churches, several awful church splits, etc. Last time I said if this all goes South I'm DONE. I choose to meet & fellowship individually with people. All 3 of my adult kids are not church goers either, after so many disappointments. I think it's the American church at fault, many traditions & beliefs that just aren't right.
It’s sad really, Miley’s sister used to frequent a congregation I used to be a part of in SoCal but what I’ve come to realize is that many celebrities are doing Christianity as a hobby. Just like you’re saying, they make their own God which will allow them to continue a lifestyle outside of Gods commandments.

We're experiencing the great deception. Satan is appealing to the compassionate nature of people in order to exploit it. People are going from one extreme to the other. Decades ago, people were imprisoned and abused for personal sin and now personal sin is being promoted as virtuous because of the abuses of the past. Very few are willing to see the middle ground that says that although it is a sin, we don't need to be confrontational about it and try to force others from it, but we also don't want to endorse it and help those to continue in their sin. I've always believed that the best way to reach people is to live your life with God, others will see something in you and be attracted to the Holy Spirit within you and usually they will approach you. Jesus was a friend to all sinners but he didn't approve of their sin. Many people like to bring up the story of the adulterous woman and the people throwing stones. They always seem to forget that, before leaving her, Jesus said to her "Go and sin no more."
Awesome video! I've noticed for a long time, so many moms whose sons come out as gay suddenly become pro-gay. They say that they love their sons, so it's okay. I believe that these mothers are afraid of losing their son's affections and losing the relationship. Only God can show these moms how to navigate these situations but they must step out in faith and believe God to turn it around. God may have plans for these men to be married and have children, but moms need to pray!
Chris Yuan and his mom wrote a book together regarding this issue. It's interesting because you get to see both sides of being gay and also parenting a gay child.
My mother went about this the wrong way with my lesbian sister. She poured so much hate and judgement on her that she caused her to run away and she got even further into the lifestyle and turned into an atheist who cut off everyone in her family who called homosexuality a sin and equated all of us to the hate my mom showed. It’s a delicate issue and needs to be dealt with prayerfully.
Not just men. My daughter is Bi but has been living with the same guy for 11 years! She won't speak to me and calls me evil because I won't condone her choice. I pray for her every day. Thanks Becket and Wendi.

It really is so heartbreaking how far from the truth the Church has come. Jesus died a brutal death not so that we can create our own idols., but that we can be free to live in the truth. Continue to “cry out!”

I live in the small suburb of Nashville where Miley grew up, at least until she started working for Disney. Cyrus was a kid in a standard (not radical) evangelical church and never ‘left the church’ - that is a statement she likes to make because it reinforces an image of ‘how convicted’ she is about her beliefs. In reality she simply got caught up in a new lifestyle as a young adult and wandered into moral oblivion.
Its weord cuz billy ray was pretty watchful dad over miley in Hollywood but billy ray was wild in his youth. I Eman even now he has a weed farm 0.o like...how long was he planning to do that?!? In the jonas brothers book they told how miley tried to peer pressure them backstage to Smoke weed. Like.. between where and when was this going on. Even online sh exported risqué photos like most girls tat age online. She hid it well that's all I gotta a say. Cuz I was a prwtty big fan when I was younger. Loved her show. And never suspected a thing. I do think she's conflicted cuzin he inteviews she contradicts herself alot. But you could be right, I don't think billy ray kept them on a strict tight leash while in Hollywood so she could've gotten caught up
My sister used to go to a lot of Billy Ray concerts and then she would go to whatever hotel he was staying. Even though he was married there were always women going in and coming out of his hotel room. I saw an interview with Billy Ray and his family several years back right after the start of Miley’s show on ABC. Billy Ray said that he and his family were “grounded in faith and family”. Then they showed Miley strumming her guitar singing “Amazing Grace”. I never bought any of it for one minute because I knew they were trying to sell a “package” for ratings and fame. Billy Ray could not make it in the music industry for more than a few years so he pushed his daughter into show biz.

It's a tough thing when your a parent and one of kid comes out of closet. I am one of those parents. He has gotten married and has been with him for ten years now. This was very good and deep and the truth.
Another great program, Becket! My younger brother is gay and God actually spoke aloud to me one night in 1997 when I was praying for him, telling me to “Keep doing what you are doing.” So 24 years later I am still praying for my brother, trusting in God’s promises. To me, the supreme aspect of us being male and female and marriage between one man and one woman is that it is a picture of God (Jesus) being the bridegroom and us (the church) being His bride. When we put our ideas and desires above His, the Bible calls it harlotry. His love is so sublime and satisfying! I hope that everyone chooses to look to Jesus for peace, security, purpose and love. (Remember that Moses wasn’t allowed to enter the promised land just for striking the stone twice!)

Great topic! A secular friend of mine recently asked what I thought about Justin Bieber's claim of being a Christian. The Spirit led me to invoke Luke 6:37, for who am I to judge such a thing. I then felt led by the Spirit to mention Luke 6:43-45: "43 “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks." We can deduce whether someone is FOR the kingdom of God, or AGAINST the kingdom of God, by who that person exalts. We are either for the kingdom of Christ, or against it. (Matthew 12:30). When we see public figures do things that are in total opposition to Christ, we know where such people stand. Of course, God does not call us to act pharisaical in regards to such people (Romans 2:1). But, we also know there is no middle ground in this spiritual war. The claims of these false Christians are misleading, and will most certainly be one part of the great deception that is flourishing today and only growing worse (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). But we must pray for these lost souls, as they are only mere instruments. We must always remember who the real enemy is (Ephesians 6:12).

Hi Becket, I'm glad you brought up the movie Judy. Renee Z. did such a great job playing her. I had looked up if Stan and Dan were true characters or fictional. They are fictional. And (spoiler) that powerful end-scene when Judy couldn't continue singing - they had stood up and finished the song. I was so moved by that - only to discover that that had never happened, BUT, that it had been a young girl in the audience who sang the rest of her song for her. And I was very disappointed in this. Why couldn't they have just told the truth?! It confirmed how our culture is pushing their "truths". AND how many other films have they done this to? Green Book is also another great film, but twisted lies to push their agenda and to pull on the heart strings of people.

This is a huge issue about culture and this agenda targeting young people and brainwashing them. The sad thing is that some churches haven’t been doing a good job at talking about these topics... I almost feel it’s because they don’t know how to do it without upsetting people.

Your voice is so needed for such a time as this...
I can relate, especially to what you said about people praying for you to be delivered from depression... That was me also. I also remember that same exact experience having dealt with anger all of my life as a kid and rage. In the military, at age 23, I remember reaching a breaking point where I was tired of losing my temper. I got down on my knees and prayed and said God I'm tired I don't want to be angry like this anymore. Please help me. At that point just like you said I felt something rise up out of me and a weight lifted off of me to the point where I gasped because I could feel it. At first it's startled me, but then I realized that whatever had a hold of me was gone. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever! He is still in the business of setting people free 😌. Hallelujah

Thank you Becket. This was so good. The Imagination Game was a powerful movie. Have you seen The Hours. I felt the same about it. A friend was moving away and gave that and the book to me. I never read the book but the movie troubled me for a long time. The way she always struggled in her marriage. Then, after many failed attempts, sewed stones into the hem of her nightgown and walked into the lake. 😭 It's unbelievable sad. I hate the thought that anyone would take their own life. Something different about suicide that really overwhelms the human soul. It's a powerful violation of the soul. I watched the film "The Bridge" which focuses solely on this topic and the Golden Gate Bridge. I never knew how many people lose their life there. One man wrote a letter (found later) and stated his journey by foot to the GGB to end his life by jumping. His letter said, If just one person smiles and says hello to me on the way - I won't do it. 😔 Of the tiny percentage of survivors they all said the same thing - the minute I jumped I regretted it and knew I wanted to live. 😖 All of them. Why people, especially gay people, think anyone celebrates their death is just unreal. He who is forgiven much loves much. My love runs deep. Compassion without compromise.

Those are the people I'll be praying for.. Overall, my prayer for her would be that her soul would be saved, but if not the Lord God stop her by any means so she can't perpetrate her harm on others as she's so strongly aligned with the god of this world, Satan.

Thank you for being a gauge for what being rooted in God’s Word looks like and simultaneously being sensitive and loving others. Right on point that God’s word, through His Spirit convicts and changes us. The sad thing is that people use the church and government to judge and condemn others. There is no balance of Truth and Love. And we (Christians) do not understand how to love sinners and pray for them. Instead the church chooses to either “affirm” or “condemn” behavior. I think, We need to learn how to be grounded in God’s word and minister and love others into His Kingdom without compromising His Message.
I felt the importance of the fellowship during this Covid pandemic. First of all I had to travel to South Korea for my studies. And Korean are really strict with their rules concerning the Covid 19 so most of the church were closed. Attending Church online was an option but I always though “well I can watch that later”. But I was just going away from God and using School as an excuse to not Go to Church when Church opened. This year I decided to never miss a Sunday, regardless of how busy I can be. It have been amazing so far! Being with believer, discussing, sharing or faith. I felt my spirit revived! I finally understand what Paul was saying in Hebrew 10:25.

All the symbolism that Miley Cyrus is constantly portraying, like one-eye, snake tongue,etc.. to say we're not sure where her faith is seems a little naive, since we shall know them by their fruits. Of course we make judgments everyday, and paying attention to how someone's acting, their lifestyle, and making decisions based on that is important and more biblical that trying to stay impartial. We can pray for her, but even the Bible says don't pray for certain people and as they are so far out of God's will that He will not hear prayers for them. We don't know what that line is, but surely some of the things that are going on in Hollywood have crossed lines. I would stop and take notice if she was expressing sincere regret and lamenting her previous actions, but I don't see that. Unfortunately, she's another Hollywood puppet placed there to create a following so she can leave them straight to hell..
'We, as Christians don't stand over the bible and critique it, we let the bible critique us.' Well said. So many in modern churches are looking for the former!

I know the Bible mentions not neglecting "church," but I've come to that place after years of hearing utter nonsense taught in churches. It's so discouraging! I'm 64 & have attended many churches, several awful church splits, etc. Last time I said if this all goes South I'm DONE. I choose to meet & fellowship individually with people. All 3 of my adult kids are not church goers either, after so many disappointments. I think it's the American church at fault, many traditions & beliefs that just aren't right.

We're experiencing the great deception. Satan is appealing to the compassionate nature of people in order to exploit it. People are going from one extreme to the other. Decades ago, people were imprisoned and abused for personal sin and now personal sin is being promoted as virtuous because of the abuses of the past. Very few are willing to see the middle ground that says that although it is a sin, we don't need to be confrontational about it and try to force others from it, but we also don't want to endorse it and help those to continue in their sin. I've always believed that the best way to reach people is to live your life with God, others will see something in you and be attracted to the Holy Spirit within you and usually they will approach you. Jesus was a friend to all sinners but he didn't approve of their sin. Many people like to bring up the story of the adulterous woman and the people throwing stones. They always seem to forget that, before leaving her, Jesus said to her "Go and sin no more."

Awesome video! I've noticed for a long time, so many moms whose sons come out as gay suddenly become pro-gay. They say that they love their sons, so it's okay. I believe that these mothers are afraid of losing their son's affections and losing the relationship. Only God can show these moms how to navigate these situations but they must step out in faith and believe God to turn it around. God may have plans for these men to be married and have children, but moms need to pray!
Chris Yuan and his mom wrote a book together regarding this issue. It's interesting because you get to see both sides of being gay and also parenting a gay child.
My mother went about this the wrong way with my lesbian sister.
She poured so much hate and judgement on her that she caused her to run away and she got even further into the lifestyle and turned into an atheist who cut off everyone in her family who called homosexuality a sin and equated all of us to the hate my mom showed.
It’s a delicate issue and needs to be dealt with prayerfully.

I live in the small suburb of Nashville where Miley grew up, at least until she started working for Disney. Cyrus was a kid in a standard (not radical) evangelical church and never ‘left the church’ - that is a statement she likes to make because it reinforces an image of ‘how convicted’ she is about her beliefs. In reality she simply got caught up in a new lifestyle as a young adult and wandered into moral oblivion.
Its weord cuz billy ray was pretty watchful dad over miley in Hollywood but billy ray was wild in his youth. I Eman even now he has a weed farm 0.o like...how long was he planning to do that?!? In the jonas brothers book they told how miley tried to peer pressure them backstage to Smoke weed. Like.. between where and when was this going on. Even online sh exported risqué photos like most girls tat age online. She hid it well that's all I gotta a say. Cuz I was a prwtty big fan when I was younger. Loved her show. And never suspected a thing. I do think she's conflicted cuzin he inteviews she contradicts herself alot.

I saw an interview with Billy Ray and his family several years back right after the start of Miley’s show on ABC. Billy Ray said that he and his family were “grounded in faith and family”. Then they showed Miley strumming her guitar singing “Amazing Grace”. I never bought any of it for one minute because I knew they were trying to sell a “package” for ratings and fame. Billy Ray could not make it in the music industry for more than a few years so he pushed his daughter into show biz.

My younger brother is gay and God actually spoke aloud to me one night in 1997 when I was praying for him, telling me to “Keep doing what you are doing.” So 24 years later I am still praying for my brother, trusting in God’s promises. To me, the supreme aspect of us being male and female and marriage between one man and one woman is that it is a picture of God (Jesus) being the bridegroom and us (the church) being His bride. When we put our ideas and desires above His, the Bible calls it harlotry. His love is so sublime and satisfying! I hope that everyone chooses to look to Jesus for peace, security, purpose and love. (Remember that Moses wasn’t allowed to enter the promised land just for striking the stone twice!)

Great topic! A secular friend of mine recently asked what I thought about Justin Bieber's claim of being a Christian. The Spirit led me to invoke Luke 6:37, for who am I to judge such a thing. I then felt led by the Spirit to mention Luke 6:43-45:
"43 “For a good tree does not bear bad fruit, nor does a bad tree bear good fruit. 44 For every tree is known by its own fruit. For men do not gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush. 45 A good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings forth good; and an evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings forth evil. For out of the abundance of the heart his mouth speaks."
We can deduce whether someone is FOR the kingdom of God, or AGAINST the kingdom of God, by who that person exalts. We are either for the kingdom of Christ, or against it. (Matthew 12:30). When we see public figures do things that are in total opposition to Christ, we know where such people stand. Of course, God does not call us to act pharisaical in regards to such people (Romans 2:1). But, we also know there is no middle ground in this spiritual war.
The claims of these false Christians are misleading, and will most certainly be one part of the great deception that is flourishing today and only growing worse (2 Thessalonians 2:1-12). But we must pray for these lost souls, as they are only mere instruments. We must always remember who the real enemy is (Ephesians 6:12).
Justin is walking out his faith....he is humble and finding his way....it is real very real.

Hi Becket, I'm glad you brought up the movie Judy. Renee Z. did such a great job playing her. I had looked up if Stan and Dan were true characters or fictional. They are fictional. And (spoiler) that powerful end-scene when Judy couldn't continue singing - they had stood up and finished the song. I was so moved by that - only to discover that that had never happened, BUT, that it had been a young girl in the audience who sang the rest of her song for her. And I was very disappointed in this. Why couldn't they have just told the truth?! It confirmed how our culture is pushing their "truths". AND how many other films have they done this to? Green Book is also another great film, but twisted lies to push their agenda and to pull on the heart strings of people.

I can relate, especially to what you said about people praying for you to be delivered from depression... That was me also. I also remember that same exact experience having dealt with anger all of my life as a kid and rage. In the military, at age 23, I remember reaching a breaking point where I was tired of losing my temper. I got down on my knees and prayed and said God I'm tired I don't want to be angry like this anymore. Please help me. At that point just like you said I felt something rise up out of me and a weight lifted off of me to the point where I gasped because I could feel it. At first it's startled me, but then I realized that whatever had a hold of me was gone. Jesus is the same yesterday today and forever! He is still in the business of setting people free 😌. Hallelujah

Thank you Becket. This was so good. The Imagination Game was a powerful movie. Have you seen The Hours. I felt the same about it. A friend was moving away and gave that and the book to me. I never read the book but the movie troubled me for a long time. The way she always struggled in her marriage. Then, after many failed attempts, sewed stones into the hem of her nightgown and walked into the lake. 😭 It's unbelievable sad. I hate the thought that anyone would take their own life. Something different about suicide that really overwhelms the human soul. It's a powerful violation of the soul.
I watched the film "The Bridge" which focuses solely on this topic and the Golden Gate Bridge. I never knew how many people lose their life there. One man wrote a letter (found later) and stated his journey by foot to the GGB to end his life by jumping. His letter said, If just one person smiles and says hello to me on the way - I won't do it. 😔 Of the tiny percentage of survivors they all said the same thing - the minute I jumped I regretted it and knew I wanted to live. 😖 All of them.
Why people, especially gay people, think anyone celebrates their death is just unreal. He who is forgiven much loves much. My love runs deep. Compassion without compromise.

@Butterfly 67 She's got a looooong ways to go. I don't want to see anyone go to hell, but especially her young followers, which are the real victims of her influence. Those are the people I'll be praying for.. Overall, my prayer for her would be that her soul would be saved, but if not the Lord God stop her by any means so she can't perpetrate her harm on others as she's so strongly aligned with the god of this world, Satan.

Even Hailey is questionable, I saw a video of her complaining about how Christians are saying it's not right to be taking naked pictures and doing sex scenes etc and yet she was as guilty of judging and not accepting Christians herself.

Yes, I know that tingling sensation. After I was baptised I was being prayed for, and a warm, tingling sensation started from my head (where hands were laid) moved down throughout my body to my feet, and I just sobbed. Incredible. God is so good ✨

Thank you for being a gauge for what being rooted in God’s Word looks like and simultaneously being sensitive and loving others. Right on point that God’s word, through His Spirit convicts and changes us.
The sad thing is that people use the church and government to judge and condemn others. There is no balance of Truth and Love. And we (Christians) do not understand how to love sinners and pray for them. Instead the church chooses to either “affirm” or “condemn” behavior. I think, We need to learn how to be grounded in God’s word and minister and love others into His Kingdom without compromising His Message.

I just happened upon your channel & I’m so happy I found it. Keep up the good work & spreading the truth in such a loving way.
I felt the importance of the fellowship during this Covid pandemic. First of all I had to travel to South Korea for my studies. And Korean are really strict with their rules concerning the Covid 19 so most of the church were closed. Attending Church online was an option but I always though “well I can watch that later”. But I was just going away from God and using School as an excuse to not Go to Church when Church opened. This year I decided to never miss a Sunday, regardless of how busy I can be. It have been amazing so far! Being with believer, discussing, sharing or faith. I felt my spirit revived! I finally understand what Paul was saying in Hebrew 10:25.
I'm SO thankful to God that you are a part of the body of Christ, and that my pastor talked about your book on Sunday (I read it in a day!), and that I found your channel. My faith has been strengthened and deepened since this happened and I feel more equipped to counter culture with truth! 🙌
