I plant intuitively as well. A mixture of herbs and flowers bring me great joy.

Wonderful lady of the Wood.I agree with you on no invasive plants....humankind are the invasive species! I believe if people were taken away, the lovely Earth would be completely balanced. We are only here to protect and help our Mother. Too bad so many people don't understands that. I'm so happy You are here to teach the old ways and reintroduce those that are ignorant of their true job. You were born this this!

My grandmother planted intuitively and blew off what others suggested and what a beautiful garden full of plant medicine..such a joy as a child to experience her home..it truly felt like a faeries realm
    Bless you 🙏💚🏡

I really needed to hear "just plant!". I get so caught up in deciding where to plant something.

Hello Collette, Thank you for sharing your life with us. You have been such an inspiration to me but I can't begin to explain how or why... I feel very much as a lost soul right now and feel I don't have a focus in my life. As I watch your videos I experience a sense of peace comes over me. Not sure if I can really explain it. I live alone having lost my hubby almost 18 years ago. That was like losing the other half of my soul. We had been married for 28 years. I have 4 grown children, 11 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren but they all live so far away that I don't see them very often. A lot of my problems stem from "cabin fever" that happens every year here in Ontario Canada. The winters are very long and very cold and seeing as my passion is gardening, it is virtually impossible to enjoy that passion for much of the year. I have some severe health issues that means I suffer with great pain and don't get around well. I feel very guilty complaining as I can always see others that are worse off than myself. I am fighting depression and am lucky that I recognize that I suffer from it , especially in the winter. So, you see, watching your videos has been such a help to me and is helping me to see how I would like to put my own stamp on my own home. I purchased a tiny off grid cabin in the middle of the woods last year. It is my "Bolt hole" I think you call it over there. Unfortunately I am not able to get in to it much over the winter, however, I have been trying to plan some small changes that I would like to make there to make it "mine". Right now it is very white and has that "clinical" look. I am so much more a rustic person. So, seeing what you have done with your lovely cottage, even with something as simple as curtains and throws over your chairs and couches, that is helping me to see things in a different light. Sorry if I have been a bit melancholy, I guess i was just feeling a bit low tonight. So, thank you again for being there...just listening to your voice is so soothing to me. Bless you.

My neighbors always remove all the leaves from their lawn and then in spring bring good soil out over the grass. Most people sadly have not understood that the decaying leaves are nurturing their soil.

just found you & its a joy, I so am on the same path of thinking as a druid but also someone who studied permaculture through oregon state. Being vegan i see alot of agriculture 'creep' into permaculture & also 'rules' etc. Love the cottage & am trying to revive garden plots in a new rental Im in & its nice to see balanced inspiration such as yours. Blessed be )O(

Magic. Thanks for that Colette. I would say that the most invasive species is Mankind! Just imagine what this planet would be like without man to destroy it.

    Hello Colette
I love your videos and the lifestyle you have created for yourself. I don't agree with everything you say but you are an inspiration considering all you have done for nature!!! I live close enough to you too, I live a few mins outside Sligo Town. Anyways I want to ask you about your cats and your dog. What do you feed them, and do you know if they ever kill birds or other small creatures on you smallholding?
    Thanks!
    Stephen
