    I've had my D7 for over a year and absolutely love the bike, I've upgraded dropper lever as one from factory isn't great and have gone tubeless. I lived in Northwest Arkansas which has some amazing trails that pushed the limits of this bike (down hill jumps) and myself. I would highly recommend this bike to MTB beginners, great bike to learn on and skill up.

    I just bought the DSE FS from Go Outdoors in the UK (£990 on offer) as my 1st full suspension bike, having had a hard tail for years. My 1st offroad ride on it was yesterday. So far I'm very pleased with it. The only problem was that on assembly the front disc hit the caliper, requiring washers to space the caliper away by an extra 0.8mm to clear. No big deal, but the provided (tapered) caliper spacer wasn't thick enough. Mine has the Maxxis tyres.
    The front axle is strange in that a segmented 'collet' type part at the end expands when you operate the quick release lever, rather than it having a conventional nut or threaded fork. As an engineer this looks over complicated, and prone to getting dirt between the collet segments (which would prevent the axle being removed). After Googling it, it's called Suntour Q-Max, and sure enough they seem renowned as being trouble. Time will tell. I'll be making a cover to try to keep dirt out of the 'collet'.

      My buddy has the same fork and getting the Qmax off and on is sadly hit and miss sometimes.... Glad you are enjoying it so far though!!! And congrats on the new bike!

    Nice colour, awesome drivetrain (basically as good as the 12 speed with one less gear), nice damper... As far as I can tell, the pivotpoints of the rear suspension look good as well and not cheaply made. The dropper as you said is really awesome, sometimes you wont even get that on expensive bikes. It is lacking though on the brakes (put some MT520 calipers on with any 1 finger shimano levers), most likely on the tires as well. I guess that could be done for 100$. Later if the buyer digs mountainbiking put on a better fork maybe, though I do not really know the suntour one on there. Pricing is on point.

    • @chickensendies
      @chickensendies  ปีที่แล้ว +1
