Riding Amtrak auto train from Lorton Virginia to Florida

Driving from Washington DC to central Florida takes around 13 hours. One good alternative is to ride Amtrak auto train from Lorton Virginia to Sanford Florida. The train leaves DC at 5 pm and arrives at Sanford at 10 am next morning.
It is my first time to ride auto train coach class. The leg room is spacious. And breakfast is free.

I was hoping to see more of the train; seats, the bathroom, were you on the upper level or lower level? Also it would be helpful to know the timing of the trip. Was the train on time, etc.

It was upper level. Bathroom is small. Train is on time but waited long time to get the car.

I wanted to take it down to Florida, but they do not allow pets on there and that’s a bummer
