    You hit it on the nail Sam!! When I was six years old, I remember standing in the kitchen of my grandmother’s house,(which is where I lived many times growing up) and telling her “I don’t know why I was put here, I think I was put in the wrong family!” She said, “what do you mean?” and I said “ no one here has fun, no one here laughs!” I remember her looking and just smiling and said “ don’t be silly, just help me clean the the kitchen!” I have ketu in my 10th house, Rahu in 4th in both my birth and navamsha charts. Moon in 9th house in birth and and 12th house in navamsha. I had to be responsible for many family members at a young age and throughout my adult life. Willingly and unwillingly ! No fun! Just like I told my grandmother at six years old!

    I grew up to alcholic parents and always wondered why I was in this family. I still don't understand the need to drink. Hi, Sam. Hope you are ok (what a year, huh ?).
    I've always found it interesting that according to Parashara, Ketu is a fixed karaka of so many relatives at once - father, mother, grandfather and even wife, when all other grahas are usually assigned just one relative. That is often overlooked by astrologers who are used to saying that Sun is a father, Moon - mother, wife - Venus. So, looks like Ketu is the part of our sub-consciousness that reflects our parents the most (even though we didn't choose them really). Not sure about wife.. probably the same, but related more to underdeveloped/unfulfilled parts of consciousness, that a person seeks to develop through marriage.

    The one lesson I have learned is to never live in fear, never let fear dictate my actions, the ability to be aware of my emotions and how to go through them, children's importance in society which so underestimated, children's needs, the importance of communication, I regret not being a child, I always cared about my parents emotional wellbeing so I was never a child, I prioritized their needs over mine, I neglected my needs, my emotions as a child, I was hyper vigilant, scared all of the time of their emotional outbursts, ketu in 9th house pisces conjunct Mars and ketu + Saturn in 9th house too, moon conjunct Jupiter in 6th

    Ketu is in 11th Taurus. My childhood feels opposite, I spent my childhood being a lot by myself and just being creative (songs, poems, drawings etc) and I had no friends until 6-7 years old, also I was poor...

    • @ashleybotelho8678
      @ashleybotelho8678 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      That makes perfect sense..for the sake of my inability to type my exact thoughts of what Sam is saying --lol- ill just say---you can tweak his explanation depending on exaltation and debilitation. For example: me, I have Ketu in 12th h, Scorpio (EX). Being the only girl w 2 older brothers, i was sometimes left out but i really enjoyed my alone time. I enjoyed playing by myself..didnt have to share my room or any toys (lol) also luckily didnt have many responsibilities either..but most importantly I loved to be alone bc I was able to rejuvenate, come back to myself, release others energies etc. (Im sensitive😊) Still today i need time by myself. It doesn't make me not want to be alone now bc i was as a child. Also believe its helped me spiritually. Its more of a "find the balance" axis. ~You have Cancer asc w Ketu in 11th. While in debility, its showing maybe in a past life you've had tons of friends and gains from others-- or growing up without that energy has forced you to look to rahu who's asking you to find and gain from your own creative expression. Ketu didnt give you many friends to start or money, as you've stated, bc it wants you to not look to others, not look outside yourself but to find it within you. That situation has created/stirred emotions within you..and or any other emotional burdens are there for you to feel them and express yourself thru that. Especially as a Cancer asc. If you did have many friends and maybe money--you wouldn't necessarily look at yourself or the way you act/express yourself bc you would already be "accepted." Your own creative expression would be influenced by those around you. Thats not the case for you though. You'll go thru ups and downs but its all for you to feel and become who you are because of it. Hope that makes sense..lol..just saw ur comment and felt i wanted to reply😊

      I understand what you're saying. It's a useful new insight. I'm now 28 I've recently started thinking of similar topics. I have to find that inner creativity again, the one I had as a child :)
      My slightly isolated and poor childhood can be also seen through the fact that I had my 12th house Mars mahadasa until 10 years old. Was just wondering the Ketu part in it 😊

      Hmm..have you just started Jupiter dasha? Mars in the 12th shows what else your Rahu is doing, so I def think you should pull some muse from everything you've endured so far. It will be healing for you and prob others too. Ketu in taurus, 11th h means there's a completition (ketu) of some sort dealing with things regarding gains (11th h) and money, relationships, childhood values, security etc. (Taurus) You could get more specific knowing where your Venus is also😊

    Does a strong ketu means more difficulty detaching (due to more attachment) or the opposite?
    Why I make this claim is because the original ruler of Ketu is Scorpio and the very energy of the 8th house and Scorpio is difficulty letting go (clinging on) and that is overdue and needs to be released by the soul in terms of karma (karma is bondage due to attachment).
    Based on my personal belief, Ketu is exalted in Pisces and Pisces is a karmic sign too as mentioned above (sign of the 12th house). But I’m not sure what is the difference in terms of karma between the 8th and 12th house.

      So if someone has an abusive childhood, how does or I should say, what does that say about the past life of a person? If Ketu is the finish line of a person's past life in this lifetime's childhood and that childhood had many abusive people... what would be the lessons from that?

    • @vedicastrologyteacher
      @vedicastrologyteacher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@lolabunny6364 - What do you think it means?,... and you are looking at it as if it is that simple. If you want to understand deeper concepts, you need to think more deeply about them. "An abusive childhood" is experienced many, many ways. Everyone was abused / felt abused to some extent. There is nothing gained by over-personalizing things like this.
      Again, try to think bigger.
      Astrology shows the karma that brought all of it on. So, there is no need to label it as "abusive childhood",.. "happy childhood",.. whatever.
      Just look specifically at the indicators and you will see the karma - like the example I used.

    • @lolabunny6364
      @lolabunny6364 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      @@vedicastrologyteacher Ok well then not all childhoods are abusive but some are definitely more than others whether it's verbal, physical, or emotional. So for those who have what would be called an abusive childhood- what could possibly be the past life indicators for a person who was abused by their caregivers/parents?

    • @vedicastrologyteacher
      @vedicastrologyteacher 3 ปีที่แล้ว +11

      I don't know for sure, because I am not looking at a chart and it is a lot more complex than what you are saying (as I already said). But maybe someone abused in this life abused their kids or those more helpless than themselves, in their past life.
      Maybe the abuse was what they needed to experience in order to teach them to be more mature, be responsible for themselves, outgrow the need to see themselves as "abuse victims", see things/themselves in a bigger way..
      This is usually what I see.
      People blaming their current life on things that happened decades ago. That is the problem, not the events from decades ago.
      But that is ALWAYS the issue with Ketu, as I said. Most people stuck on something from their childhood - some love that was not given, or some pressure exerted.
      You are trying to differentiate experiences in this lifetime, as if some are more important than others -- and they are not.
      All of it is past Karma.
      You may seize on "Abuse" as the worst thing ever .. but many people who were abused get past it and it makes them stronger.
      Many people who were not abused, maybe even spoiled, never get their life together. That is also a problem - and everything in between
      So, rather than turn these things into judgments, it is better to see them as principles.
      Just a few thoughts.
