Give it 2 hours before putting coolant
after i apply the last coat of sealant can i put the water pump back on shortly after and wait for it to cure?
Yes let it dry for few hours also just a another top make sure the surface on engine block is not wet

Yes but make sure u clean the heck out of it and dry it
How long do you wait to put coolant in and start it back up? Do you wait 24 hours and tell customer to just wait or is it ok to just wait a few hours and then youre good to go?
Give it few hours 2-3

Same. Just replaced my failed water pump but when I put coolant in it started leaking at the new gasket! Gotta go in and try again uuhhg
Edit: I used a layer of rtv ultra black but didn't give it time to set up before reinstall and final torque
@cuz6657 I ended up switching to the metal gaskets with the oring and used some rtv and hasn't leaked since
