He wasn't predicting a 75% drop, according to his post on X, he was making an observation that it had been 30 weeks since BTC made an ATH and whenever we went that long without an all time high there was usually a 75%+ decline in price.
@@mattb6646 Please read. It absolutely didn't hit a new ATH in purchasing power, the dollar has significantly been devalued since 2021. Given at least a 10% decline, it would have needed to hit 76k, which it didn't. You can also look at a BTC/AUX chart where it didn't reach a new all time high in gold value.
@@mattb6646 Please read what I posted again. Purchasing power is different from USD value. The USD has decline significantly since 2021, at least 10%. BTC would need to post above 76k for it to set a new high in purchasing power. This is important for you to keep in mind and to keep up with inflation. It would be more effective to view BTC value against Gold and not a failing currency. And BTC is worth over 30% less against gold than it was in 2021. Just FYI
When in doubt zoom out… Bitcoin never went through a real financial crisis so hard to say what happens longer term when the going gets really tougher than the past 15 years
Do DEXs such as that Bitcoin oriented "Bisq" allow you to purchase Bitcoin with a Visa/Mastercard or other fiat debit facility? Perhaps there are some that would swap stablecoins for fiat, as once you have a lump sum into crypto, there's little need for fiat on and off ramps as you can still swing trade thanks to the stables.. although you do tend to need a centralised exchange to borrow or spend in the conventional sense. "peer-to-peer" requires both parties to already be into crypto.
About peer 2 peer btc, I heard that some btcs are marked and if you happen to buy them you will be in loss, and also isnt hodlhodl the same p2p btc exchange? Please explain it
So the crash to almost $15k in 2022 was nothing? 75% crash would mean we aren't on track and this cycle would be completely different than past cycles.
I am always thankful of this channel. Whatever happens it gives me sane mindset for crypto. So thank you. I want to know history of currency. Ancint to modern, post modern and....say, crypto modern. But in the end people may rely on " traditional currency" at critical moment like....WW3. I want to know your thought.
A 75% drop AFTER the bull market reaches a peak late in 2025 is expected pattern behavior. A 75% drop from here now means the bull market is completely cancelled, a dark pattern that invalidates all future predictions of BTC value. A 25% drop during massive upswings during this phase can certainly happen when the upside volatility makes sense, but 75% drop from here and now does not make sense to me
That FTX claimant might have done better actually if they bought btc last year in the 30s or 40s with their hedge fund buyout. Thats a 33%+ gain rather than the 118% FTX is paying. Just saying
I super want cheaper bitcoin for the long-term!! PS I really love when Heidi reminds us of fundamental reasons why crypto is awesome, e.g., against centralised control! 😍💖🤓👍
Nothing in the history of BTC to even speculate a 75% drop in this period of the cycle.. black swans, wars... etc. But yeah, your pretty and your hair looks great:)
I'm obviously interested in moving my small, but significant enough to protect it, stack - to a non KYC Exchange, but are these to be trusted ? BTC is trustless, right ? So if I sell my existing stack, and use the proceeds to buy new anonymous BTC on a DEX, from an anonymous buyer on that DEX, who will move first, the buyer with his BTC, or I, trusting my money ? Is this something that operates on a smart contract ? Or do I trust the DEX to not release my money until they received the BTC - that would actually mean they are perhaps no longer decentralised, but an OTC Desk, since they will have a record of my sending address, and the buyers money trail. It seems impossible to do a completely anonymous BTC transaction without trusting SOMEONE ?????
Sounds like you’re on your way to learning how dexs work. 💪 Some are more decentralized than others. ETH based dexs use smart contracts (same as any smart contract enabled blockchain)
@@CryptoTips Really appreciate your reply, as I do your content, for a long time now. So, ETH based Dex'es are the way to go ? tell us more about the user interface problems rather than just skipping that bit and go on talking it up. please do tell how there solving it instead of silence. and if and when it comes crashing down no one knows you and they can easily just run off with everyone's money and crypto. and because you did it illegally there is no protection is there. that's how i see it anyway.
