Thick Overgrown Yard Transformed | Satisfying Backyard Cleanup

  • Well, this was thick stuff. Originally, the plan was to mow the entire lot, but because it was so thick and my mower really didn't like it, I decided to use the brush cutter instead. Many of you will probably ask why I didn't use a ride-on, well, the answer is: I don't have one anymore. As I transition to TH-cam full time, the ride on just wasn't needed, and I generally don't do large mowing jobs like this very often. In the end, this job took me nearly 4 hours to complete and was quite a tough one. Oh yeah, by the way, Reece is no longer a part of the team and I will be doing all jobs alone moving forward. This sis part 2 of 2.

    FAQ's:
    Q: Where are you located?
A: We are from Hobart, Tasmania, Australia 🦘🦘🦘.
Q: Do you worry about snakes?
A: I have never even seen a snake in over 4 years on the job.
Q: Which equipment do you use?
A: We use mostly STIHL power equipment (battery and petrol) and commercial Honda self-propelled mowers.
Q: How much do the jobs cost?
A: Sorry, I prefer not to talk about costs!
    Q: What happened to Nick?
A: Nick was offered a full-time position at his other job as a Political admin!
    Q: What happened to Brent?
A: Brent quit at the start of August 2022.
Q: Why don't you use tarps instead of cans?
A: Tarps are too difficult to move through small spaces and lift into the trailer. The same for wheelbarrows, they are only good for unloading the trailer!
Q: Why are the hot water cylinders outside?
A: I'm not really sure to be honest, maybe something to do with space & maintenance, but either way, it really is poor heat efficiency!
Q: Why are you cutting so close to your employee!
A: I'm not cutting too close to my workers, they are standing too close to where I am working! All of my workers have been told numerous times about standing too close to the tools and about the hazards involved!
Q: Why do your workers do all the lifting and carrying?
A: Basically, they are employed to carry things and I pay them well, to do the job required.
Q: You work so well together, how do you do it?
A: That's the magic of editing. My workers are basically given instructions on what to do, I just edit it all out, so the videos look seamless!

A few things. First, you do amazing work. More attention to details than any other lawn service channel I have ever watched. Second, there is no blah, blah, blah with you. I love it. You get down to the nitty gritty immediately. Finally, please use a tarp for all of your trimmings. I think it would save 30+ minutes, plus your backs. Love you guys all the way from Texas.

I feel so sad that your team mates are not working out or just give up, you do a amazing job regardless, I know if I lived in the areas where you work, I would hire you for all my yard work, hopefully you get a new team member that actually stays on for a long time, it sucks you are doing these huge jobs on your own again. Keep up the great work George.. 👍 👏 💪 👌

George. Wishing for YOU the best! I know you will be a success in anything 'yardly' that you set your mind and muscles to. Happy to hear you are going full-throttle' on Utube. I am nearing 70 years old and I am a true believer in 'if you think it, you can do it'. Peace and happiness to you. Hugs, from Texas.

George, you are one amazing man, and a very hard worker. That was one heck of a yard to deal with, especially on your own. I know most people out there on their own would take one look and say "you have got to be kidding me. I am outta here"
I am sorry to hear Reece is no longer part of the team. But, that is life, people move on. You will be fine. You are a hard worker and whatever job you take on it will still have a amazing finish. "May the force be with you" Extra big hug today.........Sylvia Canada.

Ahhh, Mr. George, check out Sean on the Blade Mate Lawn Care channel. He's got a new tool, a walk behind whipper-snipper. Perfect for those yards with the Couch/Kikuya blend. And its narrow so it will fit thru those skinny gates! He's very happy with it so far! But I don't know, your whipper works pretty well, much wider swathes.

While watching your videos, I sometimes get really sad, asking myself what cruel fate prevented garden owners to enjoy their gardens (and as a sign of that take care for - at least in a minimum way). There are so many people, who would LOVE to have a garden, but don't have the possibilities ... and there are others, who can't take care of it. Crazy world we are living it!
But THANK GOD there are people like you, HELPING! And that's really great! Thank you so much for your work!
And this garden is really ridiculous large. You can let the Australien Soccer Team use it for some training games or organize a horse tournament! Unbelievable that you cut this FIELD alone, only with a brush cutter! CHAPEAU!!!!
But, George, may I ask you something (serious! no provocative questions!!!): How long does the soil take to recover after very dense vegetation? Is there a ban on watering the gardens in Australia? - I am a city person and unfortunately do not know!
