Hi you have a great channel and i have a few questions. The Troopy is a thirsty vehicle. Do you regret not getting a more economical 4wd with a pop up roof tent to travel around Australia? Is the cabin big enough ? Would you sacrifice the off road capability of the Troopy for a van with more space? Also road noise seems to get amplified by the cabin in the back. Does that get annoying after a while? Maybe soundproofing would solve this problem i dont know. I look foward to your next video Cheers
hey Awaken! Great questions! The Troopy takes about 13l/100kms which is quite manageable for us, so we don't find it too expensive to refuel. Roof top tent: we prefer the closed cabin in the car, as if it's windy outside or there's a huge storm on a sand dune such as the one we had in the Red Centre episode, it's more comfy inside. We do like the pop top versions of the Troopy though, however we wouldn't use it as much. The cabin is ok, it can get boring after a while, but if the weather is good, as in it's not rainy, we spend all day outdoors, hiking, visiting beaches, doing stuff, so basically we are in the car for sleeping only. That's the ideal setup, and that's what we're aiming for, though sometimes we get stuck in bad weather. We don't really sleep in roadside rest areas so noise isn't really an issue. :) Thanks, and let us know if you have more questions! :)
Hey Power Couple! great question, never thought about it! as we have a fridge, I think we pretty much store the same stuff as we used to eat in our flat, but maybe I'd choose spreads, dips and sauces, as they help us mix up recipes a little. You can put them on sandwiches, crackers, veggies, and use as spices in some dishes. Favourites are currently tomato chutney and hummus. /Sandra
Great video, thanks for sharing
love how you say you live here now, instead of just touring.
vtra85 haha, we have actually moved to Australia. We are just learning a bit more about it before we settle at our new home somewhere 😀/peter
great to hear, now you have to decide on Afl or Nrl.

I'm in the process of converting a van. I was wondering what is the best food you store besides food cans?

Nice video.
I want to know how often you argue and get sick of living in a tiny space :-)
How do you deal with arguments and differences ?
Do you have a toilet onboard? if not what do you use?
public toilets or shovel when in the outback :)
