Jimmeh Rulez when I first read it, the idea of kids who are so insecure and angry that they would react with violence like that in response to being wronged or humiliated was disturbing to me. As I had known kids who legitimately seemed like they would do that shit. Then I actually thought deeply about the story and set aside how scared I was by the image and realized how dumb the story really is. The image can still catch me off guard to this day, but it doesn’t have as much of an effect on me. Especially after seeing all the fangirls (WHY) drawing him as a bishonen anime pretty boy and shipping him with Slenderman or Eyeless Laughing Joe or whoever the hell the crappy creepypasta OC of the week was. That just ruined his scare potential for me other than being unnerved when looking at his actual image

I can't remember the exact thread, but I remember this guy saying he remembered the original jeff the killer picture. Apparently back in 2003/2004, very early days of 4chan. There was some random attention seeking girl who kept posting pictures of herself. This one picture in particular already looked a bit creepy, apparently the camera flash reflected on her face and made her look really ghostly and pale. So 4chan users took the picture and over a time period, progressively tampered with it and edited it to make her look worse and worse. Then the final product was the jeff the killer image.
Some other person said it was of a Stickam girl who caused people to impersonate and photoshop her towards /b/. I find this plausible but the guy who posted the photoshop towards Pya.cc said it came from a Japanese video of an Asian woman.
yeah it actually made my heart jump lmao I think it's just that most of us are desensitized to the other jeff the killer image, and seeing a new one gave us the fear that the other one originally did (plus maybe there's some uncanny valley "this looks like jeff the killer, but it also doesn't" thing going on)

The unedited Jeff the Killer almost looks right, except for the background. In the picture of the girl, you can’t really see anything in the background, whereas in the Jeff the Killer picture, you can see shirts hanging up in the background on the left side of the screen. They could have photoshopped the background, but I don’t really see the purpose of that lol.

Yeah i am quite positive that's not the picture, the hairline doesnt look right and im thinking that on the original picture the person must have been smiling. The edit really is simple, the colors are blown out and the liquify tool was used to round out the eyes and stretch the smile. I don't see the point of someone going through the effort of changing the hairline, pasting on a smile and adding a background.

I agree the thumbnail girl(11:49) is an unlikely candidate, not only is the room different but so is the general facial structure, make up(Red vs Black lipstick), the nose, and hair cut. Not to mention she really isn't that bad looking, at least in that photo, so I doubt she would have been mocked that harshly (I've frequented face rating threads on the site, I know their standards). The girl at 12:30 matches the jeff photo much closer, near identical, and seems like the kind of person that 4chan would take the piss out of. So chances are 12:30 is the actual one, we just don't have the original.

about smt, supposedly, part of the reason すぐにけせ isnt in later versions, and the reason its more likely to show up on pirated copies, is that its use was meant as a catch-all error screen. in some circles, i've heard tell that it isn't the amount of restarts that actually causes it, but rather that by restarting a bunch of times you're more likely to trigger bad values in the game's memory correlating to errors that would've triggered the screen during game testing. a somewhat similar instance can happen in american copies of revelations: persona for ps1. on occasion, after restarting, instead of triggering the opening movie, the game will pull the wrong data and give you the animation for collecting a mirror shard (an item used in an alternate questline that was dummied out of the english release). whether the case of すぐにけせ is real or not, its interesting to know a similar happening did later end up in an smt game.

my thoughts on all of these; SMT Glitch: I honestly think it was an anti-piracy screen coded in and someone was just unlucky enough to encounter it even though they bought the game, stuff like that happened alot with old cartridge held games. Jeff Origins: I personally think that the image comes from the video, but that their is no "Original Image" per say, I think some japanese people wanted to put something "eerie" in their video so they took a picture of another person in that group and just edited it, not posting the orignal image. Uncharted Glitch: I honestly have nothing for this one since I've never played or even seen the uncharted games at all except for the footage here. I honestly think it might have just been a mistake that they never actually took out, maybe something to do with the player being too far away from the camera so it glitches out? i dunno. Jay Allie: I have 2 things for this, - 1: This woman (I will refer to her as Jay) might have been either kidnapped or a member of a cult, who's base was at those woods, if they were kidnapped, then they probably escaped and ran far to a dark place to record them saying the cords of the place so people could send police there. If they were an ex-cult member, they probably realised what the cult was doing was wrong in a way, and wanted to tell people about the dangers of them or possibly get an investigation team. (Either that or she was trying to lure people there to get brainwashed into joining) In Either outcome, her camera loses all it's battery life before she can finish, ending the video. Now the reason she's in a pure pitch black room with a mask on could probably be done to hide herself, either from being captured again by the kidnapper/cultists, or so no one can see inside the cult base so she can lure them in. Livestream Scream: Either you're neighborhood is haunted by a tortured soul, someone just got murdered a few blocks away, or someone was just being a loud little pri- yeah no that's pretty much all I got from that one though. Kinda eerie considering how the scream happened when you were live streaming about creepy stuff though, hope everything turned out alright and it was just someone being loud. Do *I* think that easter egg is real? Nah. If someone who looked through the game's files haven't found it I doubt that it is there. He might have missed it or it might be a picture file, but these are just excuses. And also, why would they take it out of the game after the day one copies? Especially if it was to warn pirates? (Did games even have anti-pirate stuff in them back when this came out?) Too many questions, no answers, but a lot of excuses. So yeah, could be possible and a neat idea if we look at the game alone, but 98% sure they didn't even think about it. And yes, this comment was made just because I wanted to talk about SMT.

I can't remember the exact thread, but I remember this guy saying he remembered the original jeff the killer picture. Apparently back in 2003/2004, very early days of 4chan. There was some random attention seeking girl who kept posting pictures of herself. This one picture in particular already looked a bit creepy, apparently the camera flash reflected on her face and made her look really ghostly and pale. So 4chan users took the picture and over a time period, progressively tampered with it and edited it to make her look worse and worse. Then the final product was the jeff the killer image.

The unedited Jeff the Killer almost looks right, except for the background. In the picture of the girl, you can’t really see anything in the background, whereas in the Jeff the Killer picture, you can see shirts hanging up in the background on the left side of the screen. Yeah i am quite positive that's not the picture, the hairline doesnt look right and im thinking that on the original picture the person must have been smiling. The edit really is simple, the colors are blown out and the liquify tool was used to round out the eyes and stretch the smile. I don't see the point of someone going through the effort of changing the hairline, pasting on a smile and adding a background.

I agree the thumbnail girl(11:49) is an unlikely candidate, not only is the room different but so is the general facial structure, make up(Red vs Black lipstick), the nose, and hair cut. Not to mention she really isn't that bad looking, at least in that photo, so I doubt she would have been mocked that harshly (I've frequented face rating threads on the site, I know their standards). The girl at 12:30 matches the jeff photo much closer, near identical, and seems like the kind of person that 4chan would take the piss out of. So chances are 12:30 is the actual one, we just don't have the original.

I did a bit of digging and found out that many people believe this to be a Canadian music-artist or something. I don't remember her name. But I do remember that someone on Reddit talked about her and how she may have been connected to the original Jeff the Killer image. However, what's interesting to note is that the background in the original image isn't 100% alike to the background in the Jeff the Killer image. Yes, it does look similar. But it isn't the same clothes hanging in the background. It makes me think that this isn't the original image. Also, many people believe that the features of the Jeff the Killer face come from MULTIPLE people. For instance, some believe that the eyes come from the popular internet mystery, Orie Chef. And yes, I do know that Orie Chef is not a real person. Rather, the person she uses in her photos. Plus, many people are still figuring out where the mouth could come from. I'm not too interested in how the Jeff the Killer image was made. Rather, I was trying to find out who the girl in the supposed "original" image is. For now, everyone believes her to be a Canadian artist. But who knows? Maybe it's not.
(P.S: I remember stumbling upon a page of an old dating site. There were around maybe 6 images of a girl on the plus-sized scale. The images were... Revealing. To say the least. my thoughts on all of these;
SMT Glitch: I honestly think it was an anti-piracy screen coded in and someone was just unlucky enough to encounter it even though they bought the game, stuff like that happened alot with old cartridge held games.
Jeff Origins: I personally think that the image comes from the video, but that their is no "Original Image" per say, I think some japanese people wanted to put something "eerie" in their video so they took a picture of another person in that group and just edited it, not posting the orignal image.
Uncharted Glitch: I honestly have nothing for this one since I've never played or even seen the uncharted games at all except for the footage here. I honestly think it might have just been a mistake that they never actually took out, maybe something to do with the player being too far away from the camera so it glitches out? i dunno.
Jay Allie: I have 2 things for this,
- 1: This woman (I will refer to her as Jay) might have been either kidnapped or a member of a cult, who's base was at those woods, if they were kidnapped, then they probably escaped and ran far to a dark place to record them saying the cords of the place so people could send police there. If they were an ex-cult member, they probably realised what the cult was doing was wrong in a way, and wanted to tell people about the dangers of them or possibly get an investigation team. (Either that or she was trying to lure people there to get brainwashed into joining) In Either outcome, her camera loses all it's battery life before she can finish, ending the video. Now the reason she's in a pure pitch black room with a mask on could probably be done to hide herself, either from being captured again by the kidnapper/cultists, or so no one can see inside the cult base so she can lure them in. Either way, she's either asking for help subtly, or trying to trick people.
- 2: Jay is probably just a 16 yr old who wanted to create an ARG (like you said) but didn't have the tools or knowledge to do so, leaving one video with cords to this forest, but then not knowing where to go from there. While I think this one is a more probably (and hopefully correct) route of Jay's video. Possibility one is honestly just what I can gather from a video showing you a spooky forest.
KRCR Commercial: Again, nothing, but this time it isn't cause I know nothing, it's caused it's already been solved. Fun to see all the rumors it sprouted tho.
Livestream Scream: Either you're neighborhood is haunted by a tortured soul, someone just got murdered a few blocks away, or someone was just being a loud little pri- yeah no that's pretty much all I got from that one though. Kinda eerie considering how the scream happened when you were live streaming about creepy stuff though, hope everything turned out alright and it was just someone being loud.
This comment turned out to be a LOT longer than I thought it would be.

Aheno actually has a far longer story than that and was such an overused meme on Japanese websites that the response would be "you again?" (or, that's what it translates to)

This is my first time seeing any of your videos. Your Jeff the Killer content drew me in right away. I loved your video it was really creepy and interesting and I really hope to see more of these mini mystery videos.
Probably no one's gonna see this, but I just want to put this out here (and out of my mind) while everyone else is commenting about Jeff the killer.
That Shin Megami Tensei easter egg would *seem* possible if we are talking about other *similar things that are actually in the game.* What I'm saying is that, there are messages similar to this and are connected with turning off your system.
Throughout the game there are multiple places where you can save *(duh).* These include your Computer, some Terminals and a character whose whole duty is for you to record your progress.
After saving, the game asks:
*" Will you continue? "*
With a *Yes* and *No* option. Because I want to see everything I decided to try out the no option. The results:
I think both the Computer and the Terminal display this message:
*" Then please turn off the power, and good night. "*
*" Take care not to let any demons possess your body while you sleep... "*
I'm pretty sure this is just a reference to the game's plot and how demons are everywhere and can possess people, blah blah...
But the other is more interesting.
*Zenki,* the character that records your progress, says this:
*" Hurry... cut... the... power... "*
This text is slowly repeating, nonstop.
When I first encountered this my eyes widened and I wasn't sure what to think. I expected the usual message of no demon possessing while you sleep, but instead I got whatever this is. Why would this particular character say this? And why do I have to *hurry?* And also... Why the Hell is it repeating? I have no answers, but it kinda creeped me out.
So... Do *I* think that easter egg is real? Nah.
If someone who looked through the game's files haven't found it I doubt that it is there. He might have missed it or it might be a picture file, but these are just excuses. And also, why would they take it out of the game after the day one copies? Especially if it was to warn pirates? (Did games even have anti-pirate stuff in them back when this came out?) Too many questions, no answers, but a lot of excuses.
So yeah, could be possible and a neat idea if we look at the game alone, but 98% sure they didn't even think about it. And yes, this comment was made just because I wanted to talk about SMT.
