I still have my original SH2 disk. Played again right before playing this. They did such a great job! They changed exactly just enough to make it more accessible to today's gamers. And they gave it just a bit more complexity to the maps and puzzles. I couldn't have asked for more. I really hope they do the same for SH3. That's still my favorite one.

Man, the atmosphere in this Silent Hill video is giving me chills! The way they've reimagined the foggy streets and eerie sounds is straight-up masterclass. James Sunderland's got some serious PTSD vibes going on, and I'm HERE. FOR. IT.

Even my experience of the original Silent Hill 2 didnt give me the chills like this version does. The developers have absolutely nailed the atmosphere with this. I played the original back in 2002. Been a hardcore fan ever since. This is just beautiful. Wow. Ah Ohio. Grew up there. Yes, it is pop (for soda). People have looked at me weird everywhere else I traveled when I asked for a pop.
One thing most people do forget is that theres whole generations who have never played this game. Need to keep the spoilers to minimum even though they feel like its as old as "Darth Vader is Lukes father".

I never played the original but I wanted to but I was holding out for a remake and I am glad I waited. Bloober did a great job. Hope Marz ends up enjoying it too.

The body in the chair wearing the same clothes is a cool reference to the original. In that you could only see the back of their head and they just used James' character model to make things easy.

Found the letter and sent it to James. Hoping it got to him. Now James went on this wild goose chase looking for Mary. Well that's what I thing anyway. LOL Yer right.
I've accidentally used healing lots of times in my playthrough. Thankfully, though: in this game, when your health is FULL, your character will not use a healing item even when pressing the button! It's not like RE7, where all of us wasted like 10 medical bottles accidentally 😅
This was one of those iconic games from my childhood (Loved 1 to 4). I'm happy they remade it so well. Back then gaming was a hobby I never really shared with women because it was looked down upon. These days it's nice seeing women finally starting to enjoy and appreciate games like this. Japanese gaming companies make some of the best and most wtf type of horror out there. I hope they remake the third game. Curious to see that mirror scene with Heather again.
There is a mod that makes it a bright sunny day. There's a video on TH-cam with it and it's funny but takes a lot away from the game. I watched Jack play through and all I am going to say is, good luck Mars 😂

There are a lot of indirect clues (from reading collectibles) that Silent Hill is in fact in the state of Maine

I'm having some Vietnam flashbacks of Philadelphia. These houses look just like what you'd find throughout the city, usually by the row housing.
I love how every first-time player is instantly scared of the graveyard, where practically nothing scary happens. 😄
