I'm going through comments here and there is something people here do not realize. Campaigns in Mental Omega for every factions are linear. Which is quite an achievement, trying to tie everything into one big plot line instead of spreading it to 4 different ones. In fact thats the main reason Foehn exists here. However. Linear campaigns and having 4 sides that are basicly at the opposite ends of a conflict means you cannot have a happy ending for everyone without making it look like bullshit. So yes, someone will lose. Someone will win. Someone will prevail. Someone will become a remnant of a distant future.
But you can make that nobody wins. I have yet to see other endings, but I clearly see the loophole in the "linear campaigns, but faction's fans are happy".

Starting from Insomnia, several foreshadowings that Allies will fail, and finale's focus on individual characters have worked well, along with marvelous soundtrack and scripting(MOD itself only has over 3000 triggers, for Kane's sake...) had done something to me which I haven't felt for years. I felt for every moments of finale, be it Allies or Epsilon, Foehn, most least but surely Soviets too. And this ending is the saddest to me. RIP majority of Paradox Engine expedition, RIP Norio, RIP Siegfried, RIP Commander(us). Now the baton has passed to alliance of remnants.
Better dead then being enslaved I suppose but this set's the stage for the original content donut steel faction to come save the day if there's a sequel. Still a shit ending as far as I'm concerned and soured my opinion on the mod as a whole.
Nah Yuri'd still consider that a win, he was prepared to die for the cause. The whole reason he goes to Moscow is to draw the Soviets away from the Antarctic and Mental Omega, because he knows they'll come for him over everything else.
I feel like the game speed on your channel is perfect... especially the moment the wreckage was teleported and Siegfried met his demise... the beat just send tears to my eyes...
I never thought that Tanya survived. Back in 3.3.3; I already assumed she'll meet her end along with Norio and Siegfried. Then, the Paradox Engine will be totalled with no means of chronoshifts. Lastly, the device activates, dominating the minds of all Allies in Antarctica. Still, the ending is too painful for me to accept. Two of our heroes died to Yuri's finest heroes. The eagle that we once knew flying above the sky had its wings clipped. Truly, a tragedy. Making an edit: I feel like the way how Tanya spoke her dialogues here is like she has heightened emotions. Also afraid and sad as opposed to her fearless and conifdent persona. Maybe it's just me portraying it. We all have different ways to portray it after all.
Im just surprised that General Carville actually survived the mental omega war. Since the last time we saw him was in the pentagon. which was taken over by the soviet at the end of the 3rd war and Epsilon at the beginning of the mental omega war.

Hmm, despite Rahn hitting Siegfried with his hulk making rifle, Siegfried just got knocked out of his zeitgeist before he passed away. Why do have i a feeling that he is just unconcious and Rahn simply dragged him away after the fight so he can be forced to research for the Epsilon ?
@Noel T. Lat Wouldnt he be too heavy ? It has problems hovering already and cant even go over water and Rahn is easily with his armour twice or three times as heavy as normal human.
Yeah, both the European and the American commanders (both were played by us) were dead. The European commander was killed by Libra, the American commander likely died after the Engine collided with the Tower
So the devs either really like Yuri, or just hate the Allies, both of their acts involve them constatnly loosing, or loosing slightly less. I liked the soviet twist, but this is just bleh.
Personally I think it makes the story stronger for the good guys to lose initially so that their eventual triumph at the end of the narrative is all the more dramatically satisfying. Act III was announced recently so if this is the end of Act II of the story, it only makes sense for the good guys to be at their lowest point where their victory is more about surviving to fight another day than outright defeating the antagonist.
@@TheJovian16 Then the Allies actually winning here would follow that formula, considering they've spent all of Act 1 and about half of Act 2 losing ground and being forced to retreat, from first the Soviets and then Epsilon, so there's still that satisfaction of seeing them finally win when they've lost so hard for so long. Especially with the sheer levels of bullshit Epsilon pulled out against them in the final mission (off-map spawns, buffed-to-the-point-of-ridiculousness Libra, sudden sabotages, sudden reinforcements, etc), having the Allies manage to power through all that and clutch the fight would've been so great.
If Seals on the 23rd side of Epsilon did not shoot libla clone like riot trooper, would this ending be avoided, or at least the destruction of THE TOWER would have been successful?
It is him,it's hinted in the dialogue before and after the engine's collision with the tower,Sieg instructed the commander about the final ram and it was commander who operated it,Tanya has checked that commander didn't make it,also the end briefing said "the world would not forget you",which is another clear hint that this is a mourning message.
Well in Babel(Epsilon side of this mission), after Libra returns to tower during stage 4, an intel comes that Allied commander was commanding inside Paradox Engine pilothouse. I assume every Allied commanders accompanied PE till than passed away, meaning no command&control left.
