    Don't these kind of ETFs have very low volume and wide bid-ask prices? Is that not an important piece of info needed in this presentation?

      Not all of them. XLF. XLK, XLE, SPY, IWM are the most popular ones, tight bid-ask and very liquid. GDX is another great one in my opinion to sell premium on

      I have never had a problem and I sell options on several of these, including XLY which have wider spreads and it’s never been an issue.

    what kind of options play should we make on the walmart stock split to make some good premium? since we know the price is going down on the 3:1 split on the 26th, should we do puts or calls at the $80 level for march 1st?

    • @donkndave7811
      @donkndave7811 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I believe stock splits result in a drop in price after the split. If so, I plan on selling covered puts after the drop( more premium) and if it hits the strike price then I get it a cheaper and get paid for it. I'll then turn around and sell covered calls on it ( the Wheel Strategy) and also get paid dividends, which they increased 9%.

    • @Md-ht3cg
      @Md-ht3cg 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +4

      Your play does not work as you probably intend it. When you hold options on a stock that splits, your position is also split. Both strikes and contracts are adjusted to represent the same risk you had before the split. If this did not happen it would be a far too obvious arbitrage opportunity and everyone would play it.

      @@Md-ht3cg , thanks for the reply and insight. I was probably vague. I plan on selling the covered puts AFTER the split and under the assumption the stock price goes down.
