All depends what mods you are running as well, i can run reasonably well on 52 mods with shaders and hd texture packs the one mod that causes me problems is the physics mod it really eats your fps and get major stuttering i have 8gb allocated and with that mod im up around 94% mem usage and over with that on i only have 16gbs in my machine, ive just ordered another 16gb of ram for other games i will be interested to see if it runs any better when i allocate 16gb to the game, trouble with this game java if you use to much ram it can have the opposite effect.
