      8-10 Axles 100-110 Tons Cranes are being loaded on this special design lowbed semi trailer from the front side. These heavy cranes are difficult to load from back side, sometimes impossible.       I am a low loader operator in Australia and when we are loading units up to and over that size we typically use platform low loader. Drake is our premier builder of these trailers. Would be worth checking out as Australia and Africa would both have some very harsh conditions

      Platforms are pretty rare. Typically most heavy items can normally go on a drake 4X8 trailer with a 2X8 dolly. We have done some really big gear on that set up. Hardest part is getting permits and such. Once it reaches a certain weight the preference is platform trailers even in you can carry the weight on the above mentioned configuration. Also depends on which councils and so on as to what you can get on a permit

    When I worked for NYC Park Dept in the late 70s - 80s. We had a similar trailer for our Track Loader. Ours didn't have all of the exposed hydraulic cylinders. Just one straight deck that tapered and folded down. I believe it was weight limited to 80,000 lbs. Not for extra heavy duty hauling.

    This is basically the same as my trail king paver trailer. That thing looks nice, but very heavy

    My dad had two of those type of lowboy trailers back through the 70s and the 80s. One had the little engine in the trailer and the other one was powered by the PTO on the truck with really long and heavy hydraulic hoses because the trailer had to operate when the truck was far enough away to load and unload the equipment.

      its pulls out of that hole on top of the trailer, that way it won't get damaged on the ground, after you load/unload its reinstalled before the tractor hooks back up

    It's cool but alot of countries have weight limits and this would be a bad investment

      @@PicaChu_1 в каких агресивных на месте рядом с песком а передвигаются в задвинутом состоянии в основном , у меня знакомый на новом тралле корыте работает где тоже целиндрами поднимается и ездеет с выдвинутами штоками , прицепу года не , гидравлика уже течет.

      @@prokran5807 Считаю, что после того, как трейлер будет иметь опору на седло тягача, т. е. зацеплен, опорные башмаки подтягиваются г/цилиндрами вверх;тяги от башмаков, уходящие назад, вполне дают возможность штокам г/цилиндров закрыться полностью, в том числе и за счёт качения цилиндров на шарнире в сторону тяг - место позволяет.

    Интересное решение. Но штоки гидроцилиндров открыты и повредятся от песка и грязи.

      Когда зацепиться тягач штоки уберутся ,они работают как лапы, смотри внимательно.

      DikoMan не думаю что намного тяжелее чем такой же трал с задним заездом. 16 тонн наверное гдето, от сорта стали зависит. У меня тоже перед заезд 45 тон полезный груз при весе тары 9,3 тонн

    A bunch of batteries would have benn suffice instead of a designated engine, i have seen electric setups on lowriders

      The customer mounted winch (hoist) at the back side of the lowbed semi trailer, therefore only batteries wold not be enough.

    There must be a lot of time to waste in the EU. An engine that must carry to raise and lower your loading ramp so you can remove the load. And it is slow as molasses!
