That extra fine looks like it's tearing the paper...the stub looks awful too. Why do you say the in-house nibs are good? They seem to write poorly in most of your reviews.
hello from Lyon, France . I hope ypu have had a great trip in France ! Great review as always , this visconti model is ok in my book , it's not too "bling bling" like some others models of this brand
bought a Visconti Homo Sapiens demo stone with a medium nib. It did not write. With pressure, it wrote a fine, excessively dry line. I asked the retailer to swap it for a broad nib, but the result was the same. It did not write; with pressure, it lay a thin medium, very dry line. I asked the seller about this problem, and she told me this is a well-known problem with these (house-made) nibs. Don't waste your money
Hi David, Had just finished watching your interview with Jonathon Brooks at a pen show and what came up but this video which at the time had only been posted 8 mins before. Right now 17 mins from its posting there have been 75 views. As always a really nice review.
I just think Visconti is too expensive, also I don’t like the names they call the finish on the pens. I know why they do it, and I hope it does bring more interest, but I personally don’t like it. Great job!
I was not able to enjoy Versailles when I was reminded of where all that wealth came from. I think those same thoughts would interfere with my enjoyment of these Versailles-inspired pens as well.
Beautiful. Thank you.

Very nice review, thank you. Particularly like the size comparisons with other pen types….
Hi Mr David.
The colours are very striking & vivid

The plastic plunger seems not a good idea.
Thanks for the review
I’m usually a fan of very dark colored pens, but I like the Pink Blush very much. It’s a beautiful pen.
I envy your trip to Paris and Versailles. Musee d'Orsay better than the Louvre or the Centre Pompidou?
We didn't visit the Centre Pompidou. While the Louvre is wonderful, I enjoyed the Musee d'Orsay more.
@@FigbootonPens I will keep that in mind should I have the chance to visit and ask my friend who has been to Paris many times about her impressions.

Hi david have you decided to go to the Dc Pen Show have you made up your mind just wondering because I would really like to meet you?
I really like the colours of these Operas, but the metal section... I'd rather wait for some next iteration of Homo Sapiens or go for Magma model.

I see the pen with the cap on and think...."please, please, please, don't have a metal gripsection.". Then the caps comes off......
Too many pens, not enough time or money to acquire them all. Sigh!!!!! :) Thanks David.Great content as always!
Homo Sapiens around $716 and this Opera Demo is $600. I think the jump is worth it. That slick grip is not good. But beautiful pens.

Normally I’m the same way about the names, but for some reason I enjoyed the names of these. I have no idea what’s happened to me!
Smooth metal section is a deal breaker for me!
Agreed, I don't like the look of a plain metal section.
Same here.
