👏Because of excellent poets through centuries enriching the Persian Language with excellent poetic materials and technics, today the Persian language has become a language with deep and rich poetic background.

    Great video/interview....
It certainly was very hard work to get to that high level of English but once you have achieved it, as Steve said, it becomes an absolute pleasure to read, listen to all kinds of programmes, converse with people at all levels.... at this stage building up your vocabulary it's a piece of cake.

It's really true for voice impact. I have an ADHD and listening parts usually so hard for me to focus. This goes for other tutorial's educational videos, too. My biggest reason is that I am so in love with Keith as a teacher, his voice, and his way of speaking. ❤

@@shabushabi411 I spent most of my time speaking on my own. Not only did I answer the questions of the speaking assistant app, but I also tried to do everything in my power to enhance my overall English speaking level. This included having conversations with those who were preparing to take an IELTS exam.

I appeared for the IELTS speaking on the 12th of this month. That lady didn't allow me to speak for more than 10 seconds i suppose in both part 1 and part 3. I attempted a speaking test even on the 6th of July, and I had scored 7 bands in the speaking section as the examiner had let me speak and express myself. In contrast, this time, the old lady didn't even lemme complete the 1st sentence of each answer which I wanted to give her.
I'm eagerly waiting for the results, I need 7.5.
That's the reason I have attempted it for the 2nd time, but this attempt seems to be worse than the first!
Wish me luck! Maybe I'll score a 6 or 6.5 based on the examiner's behaviour 😂

In my opinion the best way to learn vocab is to listen to them for many times being said in contexts that you really enjoy
For instance sentences said by your favourite actress or actor in a movie or a TV series you really enjoy .

Excellent interview! When Steve says that learners should read novels to improve their vocabulary I really agree. But does it mean only novels (for their structure) or whatever book?

    • @this_is_me_Mika

Novels are probably the most useful for conversational English and a variety of vocabulary from daily life, but I suppose every book, no matter what type, will improve the language you learning

    Hello Keith Teacher
Could you help me for this paragraph from Cam 18?
I'm confused whether the word "concerns" is a Noun or Verb in the below paragraph?
"Stora Enso is Europe’s biggest supplier of cross-laminated timber, and its vice-president Markus Mannstrom reports that the company is seeing increasing demand globally for building in wood, with climate change concerns the key driver"
    Hope to get yr help.
