    I mean some brilliant players and great work ethics...!!! Damn consistent they were...

    That 1989 -2004 era where it all began somehow cricket post Steve waugh lacked sparkle spirit and determination.
    Thx for the memories guys. Steve remains my fave Aust player.

    As an English cricket fan that series was painful to watch. It should have been 6-0 but for the weather. I remember watching the 1st day of the Trent Bridge test I think it was and at the end of the first day, Australia were 300 odd for 0. That was a bad day!!

    i remember this ashes 1989 steve waught batting was awsome unbeliveble batting a legend in the making.

    I remember the 12th Man album with "Waugh wo-wo-wo what is he good for?" Then Waugh went to England, scored 177 not out in that first test and never looked back. Waugh became good for everything.

    there was something special about that aussie team which no other team can match, people compare today's indian team with the mighty aussies but it just feels wrong, every player of that team was a match winner and took away the game single handedly.
