Thank you for offering this session! I deeply value the opportunity to learn more about and to see a range of Calder's works (especially ones new to me), but it was a gift to hear Mr. Rower share his insights, deep knowledge, and anecdotes. In particular I was delighted by his clear appreciation and enthusiasm for the new show and in seeing some of Calder's pieces and movie clips. Many times during the session I heard myself utter aloud, "Hmm! Wow!" and "Ah, yes!".
Now, if only I could get my cat, Calder, to be as excited about his namesake as I am. :)
One of my favorite artists. I found this Q & A very interesting and enjoyable.
Calder’s work inspires me. It activates my emotions and imagination, in a way few other artists can.
Much of what you said about his creative process, resonates with my own approach to making art and music.

I’m an artist in Toronto and your grandfather inspired me to ask my artist friends and non artist friends to decorate box mobiles to hang in my studio which will have an opening when covid19 is over and we can come together and party. June Kenner
