--------
Vanilla Ice opened up about an intense encounter with Suge Knight, the notorious co-founder of Death Row Records. Reflecting on his rising fame, Vanilla Ice recalled how he was unexpectedly met by Knight and five armed men in his hotel room. The meeting turned confrontational when Knight allegedly asked to talk alone with him on the balcony, resulting in one of the rapper's bodyguards being slapped and disarmed. Vanilla Ice detailed how Knight convinced him to join a "fraternity" of celebrities associated with him in return for protection. He emphasized that the encounter he had with Knight was different from the public’s perception who was often friendly and cordial. Unaware at the time, he unknowingly signed away his publishing rights. Despite this, Vanilla Ice insisted he held no bitterness towards Knight and that he never cared about the money.

Vanilla Ice does not seem overly enthusiastic about doing this interview. Taking passive-aggressive shots at Vlad.
Vanilla Ice has hard time admitting he was intimidated and bullied into extortion. Someone took his lunch money and he’s like “we’re homies, I was just helping him out”.
Yea that's super gay to be friendly with your scammer

Shug communicated 3 things to Ice more clearly than words could convey there:
1. Shug could get to him any time.
2. Shug could freely harm Ice and his security.
3. Ice could be thrown from the balcony and it would look like an accident or suicide, but nothing would come of it.
Suge
True. To just goto a man while he’s eating dinner and be like “can I have some?” and taking some of his food. It seems simple. But it’s like a power move. In the mind of an extorter or abuser, it’s like a way of saying “fuck your dinner, I’m the main focus now. And let me get some food.”
He was basically preying on him over time the same way a predator does in prison. It’s really disgusting and sick. It’s like some CIA kinda behavior. Do what we say or you getting taken out.
Now I get why 50 cent didn’t take the chance at all and was ready to shoot at Suge right away. Dudes like that will prey on any sympathy or kindness and abuse you the first chance. Almost like a sadist
Have to disagree with you on number-3 comment. If Suge threw ICE from a balcony you don't think his body guards would keep-QUIET ??? They wouldn't. Then Suge would be charged with 1st degree murder and his body guards would be charged with accessory to murder.

I swear I saw an interview where he admitted to being hung over the balcony, ain't no way I'm trippin..
I was waiting for that part of the story to be mentioned by Vlad.
I swear it was either on VH1 or one of the Beef DVDs but I specifically remember Ice saying it happened.
He did
He did, then he said nothing like that never happened in another video. So I don't know if that 2nd video was his way of saying he was lying/exaggerating in the 1st vid, or was he scared to keep mentioning Suges name, so he said the hanging over a balcony never happened...cause he seemed a lil nervous when he changed his story in the 2nd video
...then I believe in another video, Ice said Suge had him look over the balcony and said to ice "Do u know how high we are up here?", implying that if ice didn't do what he wanted he'd toss him over.
Vanilla ice has changed this story. In the late 90s, he did an interview where he said that he needed a diaper that night. He definitely did not describe Suge as a guy with a nice personality.
The lawyer virgil Roberts tells a completely different story where they actually sued vanilla ice but vlad won't ask about that or do any flashbacks 😂
You're talking about the 1996 ABC Interview. He actually says in that interview that Suge was always nice and calm and respectful.
He had to wear a diaper that day because they had guns, beat his bodyguard up and threatened to throw him off the balcony. Which has always been his story.
@@ramonclay9943 They had to sue because despite signing the song over to Suge, Vanilla Ice refused to pay them for well over a year.
When what interview did he say that vanilla ice has always been consistent about the interview? He doesn't deny that Suge Knight shaked him down. He just denies of certain things in the story like hanging them over a balcony. He's always denied it
It was also reported that Vanilla Ice once claimed that Suge Knight and his associates threatened to make him drink a glass of urine. It appears that Ice has revised his story to downplay the severity of the incident, whether to protect himself from further harm or to avoid appearing weak. Nevertheless, his revised version of events seems to be intentional and lacks the same level of detail as his original account.
He’s right he’s alive and he looks healthy and happy that is a great reward

It does'nt take an Einstein to understand publishing rights if somebody explains it to you which obviously was explained to Suge. Nothing smart about hardened criminals do with a gang of thugs behind him. Suge is right where he belongs at that moment and there is nothing smart about that.
Artists were being ripped off long before suge showed up. He just took it from wall street to the hood.

That's why contracts like that should have to be done in front of a notary. We're not putting up with nonsense or contract abuse.
Surely at least one of those 5 guys with guns was a licensed notary 😂

They usually are. I just did my moms will recently and we needed to be in front of a notary and 3 witnesses. Those type of contracts are taken very, very seriously. Then again this was the 80s. But now notaries are like gold. That's why a lot of people get notary licenses because they're needed to bind contracts.
Notary probably got kidnapped too 😂. Only thing you could do is sue like Eazy E did
My bodyguard stood up but he got slapped down 😂 im rolling
Why did he say that “I had to wear diapers on that day” ? On an interview.
Because he came into his hotel room, saw a bunch of former Oakland Raiders with guns, they slapped around his bodyguard and then Suge took him out to the balcony and threatened to throw him over if he didn't sign away the publishing rights to Ice Ice Baby.
Yep I remember that and just wrote that elsewhere

Vanilla Ice told this story many many times and it's always funny. Every time he tells it Suge Knight was not to be f*** with the dude. Literally got shook down in the most friendliest way. He knew it. That's why he signed over his publishing. I mean you can read between the lines on all of it. Just him describing the scene is hilarious enough. He's all but saying oh shug didn't have to be over a balcony for me to give him what he wanted. I mean this s*** is literally out of a movie.
It is because it's a lie. Vanilla Ice didn't properly credit his writer, he was keeping the money and the writer wasn't getting paid. Suge brought the writer and an attorney. Vanilla Ice's credibility was almost completely shot because more and more lies he was telling kept coming out. They presented the evidence they had and Vanilla Ice, to avoid a lawsuit he couldn't win, signed over paperwork that properly credited the writer and started getting him paid.
Everytime l hear the story it changes through the years.

Are there any he has released?
Plus Escobar at the time Vanilla Ice was blowing up was running and hiding from Colombian authorities as well as the USG/DEA who wanted to nail him badly .
When would Escobar have had time or space to be in Miami at that period to be living it up when he was a wanted and marked man?

The thing about this kind of story is that contracts can be invalidated if signed under duress. So if he could show that Suge and his entourage attacked his security and threatened him Ice could simply have a court invalidate the contract. The likelihood of Ice winning that case with Suge Knights record and the witnesses would have been very very high.
Then he would have harassed him everyday 😊
If he did that Suge would've sent a goon to go beat vanilla ice up or even harass his family lol
Suge and death row not to mention the whole corrupt music 'industry' and everything corporate 'legal' and 'official' are all in cahoots with the freemasons *)

So if ice wants to spin a pg version of the story where he and suge hashed out the details of how he was about to stick him for millions in publishing over cookies and milk, is irrelevant the endgame was still achieved. Plus if you look, he always has this weird energy when he talks about the subject. You can tell more happened that day than he's letting on..
There's so many variations to this story it's hard to know which one is true.
Stop the nonsense bud, Vanilla Ice just told u the real and unfortunately it did not fit the predetermined narrative in your know it all head🙄 Now get over it and keep it moving 🤫😂🖐
It's all the same basic story.
Mario writing the lyrics is the true one
@@hassyg4083 Mario probably did help co-writing some stuff but he also exaggerated. Mario met Ice in 1987. He says he wrote "Its a Party" for Ice. Ice performed it live for the first time in 1986.
@@morbidchid he says he wrote 9 songs for him
