🎉🎉 This video just reached 1,000 views! 🎉🎉 Thank you so much to everybody who has used this video, I hope it's helping your Paradiddle-diddles! How did you first discover the Drumalong channel? I'm trying to find the best way for drummers to find it so your answer helps a lot! 🥁🥁🥁
I was searching for pyramids to practise, then your video came up! I have used this practise idea of yours to develop more intricate patterns that helps build the groove! Amazing stuff
Making these videos is like a rollercoaster for the ego. The same thing happens every time... The slow tempos are really tough to control and require a few takes which is worries me that I wont make it through to the end. Then I get to the mid tempos, the sticks bounce more naturally and I gets my confidence back. Then the adrenaline kicks in and I'm playing higher tempos with way more ease than when I practised them, everything's flowing and I get cocky thinking at this rate I'll take care of the highest tempos no problem. Then my ego crashes back to earth as I do take after take of the highest tempos coz my hands keep blowing out! It's all over my face at the end 😂
Hi there, thanks for your question! With R = Right hand and L = Left hand (or the opposite if you are left handed) a Paradiddle-diddle is RLRRLL The pattern in this workout is: RLRRLL RLRRLL RLRR LRLLRR LRLLRR LRLL Which is 2 x Paradiddle-diddles and a Single Paradiddle all starting with your Right hand, then 2 x Paradiddle-diddles and a Single Paradiddle all starting with your Left hand. If you are new to the Paradiddle-diddle I recommend slowing the video down with TH-cam's speed function to learn the strokes more easily. Hope this helps, let me know how you get on! 🥁🥁🥁
