    I bought an A400 Xtreme Plus 12ga a year ago and it had a hard bird season last winter from dove to waterfowl and even used it with slugs for deer. Along with shooting some clays ive got about 2 cases through it with zero cleanings or oil being added. Its been dropped in mud, sat down in flooded corn at the marsh, rained on and put back in its dry bag case. I had it out a couple weeks ago and was shaking grass and god knows what else out of it. Hasnt let me down at all. By far my favorite shotgun I've had and used.

    Good job guys. Have the A400, heavier but swings smoother, also Beretta has the relief cut where the bottom loading port is and makes it easier when loading shells and less likely to pinch your fingers.

    Thanks guys! I’m looking at both and leaning toward the a400. Super informative, straightforward, and easy. I know they are both great but I think I want to put the reduced recoil as the most important factor for me. Also I didn’t know about the difference of the sight alignment. So that was great info! Thanks!

      One thing you need to know about Beretta if you have to call the customer service or the corporate office they do not answer the phone. Their customer service is horseshit I wouldn’t give them a plug nickel for anything they make.

    You are right, there are not very many decent comparison videos on both for them being the top tier guns in their class. Good video. I went with the SBE3 after a few months of testing, reading and fondling. I ended up with the SBE3 because of my familiarity with inertia systems.

      Had both kept the beretta. The only down side with the beretta I found that it’s a little heaver and little bit more bulky. The sb3 on the other hand shoots ridiculously high so you have to think about floating the bird constantly when you take a shot, recoils heavy with 3 or 3 1/2 shells. Not that it hurts or anything but it makes follow up shots harder.

    • @EmbracetheChase_yt
      @EmbracetheChase_yt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I personally don’t think that the benelli shoots that high, I have killed hundreds of birds with benelli and never noticed

    • @rockchalk06
      @rockchalk06 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@EmbracetheChase_yt You really have to pattern it to know how high. I was worried about that after purchasing one. Patternmaster Classic Long Range and Golden Pheasant loads at 30 yards shoot 3-4 inches high for me. Right on in my opinion. I don't know if it's the choke or a later production SBE3, but mine isn't near as bad as some I've seen.

    I was at sportsman warehouse debating on which to get for almost 2 hours. The SBE 3 even had a $200 store gift card Included. I think the a400 was just a bit more pricy. I ended up going with the beretta because I’ve always wanted a beretta like my grandpa uses. The only thing I don’t like about it is the weight. Its night and day between my other 12 gauge stoeger. The 20 gauge would have been the best choice but I went with the 12 for those windy days and for the goose pit. I think they are both great guns. But I know for a fact if I would have got the SBE 3 I would have had buyers regret knowing that beretta was still on the shelf. So I went all in and got the a400. I like the craftsman ship of it a lot more, the beretta logo on the grip on the forearm and on the extra grip for your shooting hand comes in handy in the rain. I don’t like that the bolt release is plastic tho, you’d think an $1800 gun would have all metal parts, same goes with the barrel cap being plastic kind of bugs me. But overall, it’s a great guns and I haven’t had one malfunction. Can’t beat the oversized bolt handle on the plus either, makes it easy to handle with gloves.

    • @EmbracetheChase_yt
      @EmbracetheChase_yt  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      I know you weren’t the only one making that the decision. I think that you will love the gun, even with the extra weight.

  • @Shaneeer
    @Shaneeer ปีที่แล้ว +1

    I've had the SBE III for a year and am gonna switch to the A400. The benelli is nice but with the inertia system it doesn't cycle well if I'm wearing a coat on cold days because of the padding even if I pull it really tight to my shoulder. I also had to do a lot of adjustments with the shims and the and a different sight because it was shooting high and left when I patterned it when I first got it. I think the barretta will be better for pulling up to the shoulder and shooting quickly and accurately. I'm trying to decided between the 28" and 26". I'm thinking the shorter barrel will help with swinging fast for hitting faster birds like teal but the 28" might be more accurate. I'll put a kicks choke tube on it which extends the barrel another two inches anyways. Thoughts on if I should get a 26" or a 28"?

    • @EmbracetheChase_yt
      @EmbracetheChase_yt  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I got a 32 inch barrel, extra accuracy, and I feel that I can swing fine. Absolutely love that gun. I also got the kicks too. So it’s a pretty big gun. I’d go with the 28. U should have no problems swinging and hitting them faster birds like doves and teal.

    Great video you two, Quick question. Now that you both have had each gun for a year now, do either of you wish you went with the other model? If so, does the Beretta owner want the Benellis or vice versa?

    • @EmbracetheChase_yt
      @EmbracetheChase_yt  3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      I am the beretta owner and I do wish that the beretta was a bit slimmer, but overall we both love our choices, so if you decide on one of the other you will definitely love your choice. The best thing about the beretta is that it doesn’t kick at all. I hope that answered your question.

Most of which are failure to feed, failure to fire, failure to eject.
