    These news people clearly haven't used the chat, if it's integrated into bing, people will stop using Google within a day. The second they find out about it. My first impression after using the chat was immediately, Google's now completely irrelevant and useless. As are most websites on the internet, it's going to change everything completely.

    The problem with ChatGPT is that it needs the internet to learn the answers to questions (and it gives bad answers that look convincing)
    Without actual people that write content like articles, blogs, Q&As etc there's nothing to feed the machine.
    Google attract people to websites, so if the same people would just ask the AI, the sites that were used to feed the AI would die.
    It kinda steals other people's content and web traffic.

    • @johnjay6370
      @johnjay6370 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    • @m_nch7
      @m_nch7 ปีที่แล้ว

      @Illi Zizon of course.. people copy, get inspired, and create on top of other people's work. It's a good thing. Though the current AI is limited and could hurt other people's incentives to keep creating the content it needs to copy from.

      The short sighted review from yahoo finance. First no one can take all of 100% of the market, unless tech is not reproducable . Second ChatGPT is literally trained of the internet cached by Bing servers. While automated responses are welcome, google has been doing that for a while. What people more seek is advice of other humans through social groups like Reddit. ChatGPT would be a great supplemental tool but is no where going to replace the content produced by people or websites so this whole notion of Google having Innovators Dilemma doesn't make much sense.

    • @not12.

      That is correct if we are talking about the level of AI we are currently at. But the catch here is AI isn't just a machine anymore, it soon would be able to learn and develop creative "original" ideas just like a human without the help of manually feeding information in.

    if google comes up with a similar product, they pay money to harm their own business.
    so what todo? let others waste money and come up with a better model that integrates source files and is so good that you are willing to pay a monthly fee to it.
