I would have preferred a classic XJC styled entry vs a boy racer.

Just placed my $10k deposit. Apparently the doors won’t close as dihedral doors don’t line up on an F-type but everything else they stated seems solid!

I have been a Jaguar fan for over 3 decades. However I've been less than enamored with the missteps that Jaguar has been made over the years. I'm tired that QUALITY ISSUES still continues to be an Achille's heel for this company. I don't believe that superexpensive Jaguars are the way to go. Jaguar needs to return to it's core values of offering grace, pace and space not for peanuts, but prices that reflect incredible value. Sorry, but I'm not a fan of EV'S, but matket is changing so you have to adapt or perish.

You have made the point so well, I endorse your sentiment. I would just add that EV’s are a snail pace in overall practicality, don’t be surprised if it is abandoned!

@@LeviticalLaws I totally agree with you on the future of EV's, because the EV at the moment is only ideally practical for the few which is about 33% of motorists. 1. Not everyone has the off road parking luxury to begin with, and also the power at hand to charge in their only parking space , and many people have two cars.. 2. Although the range in the more expensive EV's is reasonable, charging and charging times on long trips are not practical for some. 3. Not every one can afford a new car, and an EV bought as a used car, is not likely to be a financially good option because of the battery replacement costs. 4. Finally I do believe that that the EV has likely been built with the electronics in mind to be recycled like an Apple iPhone. And this will also be a big problem in the future for most cars, that have over indulged in unnecessary electronics to use as sales gimmicks to tempt the buyer into think they are buying luxury and status. Jaguars were never like this. They were a complete package that was built around a unique artistic styling offering the buyer a luxury sedan, that could almost compete with the interior and ride of a Rolls Royce and ye,t at a price that was so very reasonable, that they were considered very good value for money for the individual who wanted something special, different and classy. Just another way of saying Grace, Space and Pace.

The cars have been lemons for more than three decades. Things started falling apart in the 70s. Before that, their cars were so respected. I remember when Daimlers were something you would stare at

    This car is not new.
Also, it makes no sense, as Jaguar is transistioning into an electric brand.

I had an XE, I didn't enjoy it, it was a noisy diesel Rep mobile, they didn't finesse the car until it was close to end of its market life, and now they are still plan to produce lumpy design old man cars.

Apart from the doors, it just looks like an F Type!
