Good luck with the move! I recently got my own place too with sloped ceilings that don't cater to my billy cases! So I grabbed a couple of detolfs so I can have favourites and nendoroids at mine. But the bulk of my collection lives at my parents currently! It's hard I tell you 😅 Makes you wish you streamlined years ago though take it from me 🤣🤣🤣

But leaving behind one collection just means you can start another and find cool new ways to display your things. definitely pack them back in their original boxes because they are fitted exactly for the figures and accessories. also, you're gonna move the boxes as well i'm assuming, so why ship them empty and use up more space? seems like a no brainer to me...

Statues are worthless. The thrill of buying, and fawning over them quickly fades away in a week or two, then they rot on the shelf until you decide to sell them, and in these difficult times, you have to sell at a massive loss. you can't play with them, they are nothing more than anime styled paperweights.
Sure. But that's obviously why you have to decide if figure collecting is truly for you. Most people probably only buy 1 or 2 for room decor. Personally. I've been collecting for awhile and I won't stop anytime soon. I also look at my figures quite often/whenever I enter my room. I still genuinely get joy from looking at them long after I buy. As for selling at a loss... I don't think so? I've only ever sold prize figures, nendos and pop up parades though. I have never sold below what I paid. (but I am mainly a miku/vocaloid collector tbh. With miku the fandom is pretty active and interested in buying usually)
