i have so much anxiety when it comes to duties :') your guides have helped me a ton. you make dungeons and trials seem not as scary. thank you so much.
as a tank still with deep rooted anxiety I am so so greatful for you videos! Not only do I get the chance to visually learn how the dungeons work, but your voice also manages to calm me down everytime. Thank you!
I'm the same, just came back from a long ass break, i think mid HW i last played, and physically cannot bring myself to do a new duty without watching one of these guides, helps so much :D
@@gondiathorn1290 Exactly the same for me. Although for me the anxiety has a different reason, but I'll not be able to do the new dungeon without watching her video first, it helps immensely :D
I've only started playing since 8/2020 and only more recently tanking a lot. You're videos are invaluable! Even though you did this one more than a year ago, I thank you, tonight, for this one. (I think I knew more about what to expect from the bosses than the rest of my group! :D )
Thanks for your help; I kept dying to that final attack. The cannisters are also super unpredictable too and playing Duty Support means that death equals the equivalent to a party wipe.
Indeed. Only SE could manage to introduce an 'easy mode' option to do dungeons with trusts. That actually turns out to be harder. A LOT harder in some cases with bosses with multiple mechanics stacking on top of each other.
@@frankbrodie5168 I never used easy mode to be honest. I didn't even realize it could actually flip the difficulty lol. Not the hardest solo duty though; that would go to having to play as an imperial soldier in a very tense and twisted stealth mission.
A thing worth noting about the last boss(es) is that the order in which you fight them is random, so you might be dealing with the mechanics in a different order than shown here. The transitions will always be identical, though.
I wish I saw this comment before...the cerelium tank phase killed me a bunch. BLM life. I somehow managed to stay alive till the last phase on our 4th wipe and I was typing in the chat "I'll LB" only to find out that there was a dash phase which happened completely at random. Died, got revived, LBed and finally finished it. Damn it is a good fight.
First playthrough, I didn't want to spoil the story, but I also didn't want to waste people's time as a scrub newbie failing at mechanics. So, here I am. Thanks for the great tutorial!
During the barrel part, if she does a spin kick to push some away from the center, the center of the arena will be the safe passage. If she doesn’t, the safe passage will be along the sides.
After watching this I reluctantly attempted it. If it weren't for the amazing people in my party I would have rage-quit. This game has THE BEST people willing to help and it makes this game so much more satisfying ... even after 3 wipes Thank you
Yeah, a lot of people in the FFXIV community are awesome. And a lot of them can put the worst of WoW's toxicity to shame as well. Every now and then, you'll find people who seem to believe patience is beneath them.
Your puns always give me a good chuckle but the start of this video made me spit up my drink swear to god. Anyway, been watching your videos since the beginning of ARR and to say they've been a huge help would be an understatement. Being new and a healer comes with ANXIETY so these videos are a god send. Thank you so much for not only making me laugh but making my FFXIV experience MUCH less stressful/more enjoyable!
As a tank (also with anxiety as another commenter noted) and a fairly new gamer I watch these guides and they help immensely. Thanks to these videos I feel like a pro and I get all the player commendations :').
I only just recently started playing, and when I got to this dungeon, I just had a feeling it was going to be a rough one. I'm glad I took my DPS queue time and watched through this, as my teammates were completely silent when I had asked for insight. Thank you so much!!
Thank you so much! I died like 4 times on this one as drg thanks to those aoe combos from the twins but it was fun and we made it, I thanks to your guide
Arg I watched the video but I still kept dying on the bombs the final boss triggers. I was the healer and the only one with res, once I stopped dying everyone else kept dying and I couldn’t kept up with the raises. The burn was a cake walk for me so I don’t know why it was so hard
Is it just me, or is it weird that on the Annia/Julie fight you can have barely any space between their tracer lines and not get hit, yet you can be totally in the clear with plenty of space between the tracer lines and get mowed down. Is this a bug, or is there another reason that what should be a technical successful avoid gets you hit?
The worst part is the 2nd time you down one of them and they zip around. You can't really see the safe zones because they also put huge sand colored split markers on the entire party. Making it super easy to die right at the end of the fight.
At the airstrike phase/ exploding tanks (last boss) - this particular video / run makes it looks like the middle is a good place to go - it's not - if you stack there you will also get the line AOE (which can be seen at the side in this vid to the left side). Better to spread to edges.
I just did this one and the guide helped a whole lot but be warned that there is some splash damage on the tag team transition so move. I tried to just find a safe space between the lines and got shredded. Could've been my own misunderstanding of the mechanic though.
"newest dungeon made available by patch 4.5" time flies when you are having fun, now 7.0 is on the horizon already and the game is cherished more than ever
These videos help a bit to know what to expect but like many before I find it moves through things far to fast to really be a sure thing in practice since it's basically just a torrent of mechanics coming at you one after the other and one inevitably slips through when I go to do the dungeon. There's always something I neglect to look out for that's usually a one shot kill until I actually see it in practice in the actual instance then I know for next time. Honestly the best practice for this game is always trial and error and experience.
You typoed the name of the dungeon (It's "Ghimlyt", not "Ghymlit"), watched another guide first because I thought you didn't make one :( Also, the description claims this is a guide for The Burn :-)
It might be spoil-esque but i think its common courtesy to atleast know the fight so that you dont end up giving healers more work than they already need to do.
@@kasieakins9125 this was the case when I came for my first run. Healer said no problem! Woo vote of confidence! Then he started dying regularly on each boss :D
well ive tried to hang on,........but i think i have to jump ship. I'm grateful for these videos, but unlike others, the puns and mmo terminologies for some reason bug me. And in some cases, she simply speaks too quickly. I'm the rarity though. peace!

Is this still not the case? I am honestly tired of getting through a snoozefest only to get instakilled by the tanks in my Duty Support.

Hey, there's two patterns for the ceruleum tanks. One's pretty easy to avoid, the other trips me up every time.
u da best. my adhd thanks you for the fast pace of these videos. 🙇
Those AOE lines are ridiculous

The Ring of Fire Mechanic. The world wasn't ready to lose Johnny Cash. Yoshi P. has proven that.
all those AoE's -- RIP leylines
