My mom hated when my brother and I would watch this. And at inappropriate times, we would mimic some of the characters. "HUH?!"She'd slap us and say Knock it off! lol great times. This show was so funny.
@@stephaniebach__12-24 He was definitely making enough money on MadTV to afford pharma grade Oxys, Percs, etc...His bank account wasn't average lol but yeah if he wasn't an entertainer he'd have probably gotten on heroin.
To be honest, it’s kind of hard nowadays because I remember watching the stuff when it aired on television for the first time and now I’m re-watching it years later making me feel very old
See, this is what my generation grew up on, we weren't afraid to poke fun at each other, there wasn't any malice towards each other at all, we knew how to take a joke. It's sad to see how far we have fell since then.
Word up; I've always been a fan of sketch comedy, and THIS has been a solid third, Paramount to Chappelle's Show, In Living Color, then Key And Peele, imo...
My generation grew up on the original SNL. Which was even better. Of course, I was only 7 in 1975 but it's still my generation. MadTV was the last of good comedy television. Canceled too soon while SNL is horrible now and it's still on the air. Should have been canceled years ago. Go figure. I take it back about MadTV being the last good comedy. There's still Key and Peele and Dave Chapelle. But other than that........
I was in high school when MadTV came out - I still see Bobby Lee on podcast clips, he always made me laugh and I think "damn, its been more than 3 decades since I started watching him" 🤯 but I've been a Steve Martin fan since I was 3 due to my Uncle's sense of humor
Me too!! I've been a Steve Martin fan since like 4 because of my stepdad who got me watching (THE JERK) & i would watch it over & over all the time... Beautyful times for sure & not like today that everyone get ofended for anything...
Woke culture wants us to forget about the true purpose of humor: calling out prejudices to be able to laugh at ourselves, but people are told theyre special these days and have no faults, look where that got us
Being from England I’d never even heard of MadTV until Bobby Lee mentioned it on Bad Friends……. I’ve loved binging the clips! Absolutely brilliant Cast and Sketches! 👏
I miss funny stuff. When i was in my early teens, In Living Color came on at 10, Mad TV at 11, SNL at 1130. I'm crazy thankful to have been there when comedy was comedy. If something waz funny, it's usually bc it was true.
Funny how back then, we all KNEW Gary killed Sandra. Nowadays, because of State Media protecting anyone with a (D) next to their name, they want to act like he was just caught up in something and he was a victim. Also, Mo Collins is the GOAT.
I watched this when it first came out hoping it would be as good or better than snl. What sucked was it was only 30 minutes long and way too many commercials. 20 minutes of Bobby Lee running around naked gets old after awhile. However the show was basically a live version of the magazine I grew up reading.
Okay let me repeat your sentence but let me change the word to white Yeah I'm pretty sure I would be told I was racist for saying that but you go ahead
If Mike Tyson was a White Dude in a Shower Cap coming out of the Movie Theater to give his review. ❤ Miss this show , stayed up late as a teen just to watch these.

Don’t you have Google?
The Sesame Street skit hits differently now lmao
7:34 Bobby wasn't lying either 😂 He had a horrible pill addiction during his MadTV run. Glad he got better.
He’s lucky it didn’t lead to heroin.. for the average person, it usually does
@@stephaniebach__12-24 He was definitely making enough money on MadTV to afford pharma grade Oxys, Percs, etc...His bank account wasn't average lol but yeah if he wasn't an entertainer he'd have probably gotten on heroin.
Unfortunately for us, it didn't. He's still around.
I kid I kid

I forgot about the era when sketch comedy was actually funny. Damn SNL to hell
God damn SNL😂😂😂 trash show had the powers to be backing it against MadTv
This and in living color blows SNL out the water , how snl is still airing blows my mind
I really miss these days....when shit was actually FUNNY
Lmao at 21:00 Marnie: 'So, you work for the government...that must be very exciting?'
Gary: 'Here's a tip: don't ask so many f*cking questions' lmaoo

Mo Collins was hilarious ASF 🤣🤣🤣🤣
...as Stewart's mom, I agree. She brought some great characters to the show.
@@davidcollins2925 absolutely, all her other parts were 🔥🔥🔥🔥 as well
Ohh yeah, definitely 👍
Stephanie Weir as the old lady who is always having a stroke too ❤😂
.. but I mean. Keegan Michael Keye and Jordan Peele were both the shite on the Key and Peele series after MAD TV was all done ☑️
See, this is what my generation grew up on, we weren't afraid to poke fun at each other, there wasn't any malice towards each other at all, we knew how to take a joke. It's sad to see how far we have fell since then.
For real
Absolutely 💯

MadTV would be instantly canceled today...

I desperately wish we can go back to this form of comedy.
I wish we could go back to this time period. Seriously. Take me back..
“And I’m Will Sasso!!!!”
"This is a little awkward but can you take your hand off my ass"😂😂😂😂😂 bruh i cried laughing
The Sesame Street was a pure jewel!!!!
Aged pretty well too.

2:40 "Walk the line is just Ray for White people" LMAO that mad me laugh so hard.
Clearly, Christina hadn’t come out with Dirrty yet because everyone keeps referring to Britney as dirty, lmao. Oh, to be back in 2001.
Shows aren’t like this anymore this is funny as hell
This is absolutely making my day 😂
Woke culture wants us to forget about the true purpose of humor: calling out prejudices to be able to laugh at ourselves, but people are told theyre special these days and have no faults, look where that got us
I didn’t know both Key & Peele did MadTv. Thanx for posting 🤣

Never realized how short Bobby Lee was until now lol
Elmo getting hit by a car and flying into set.😂

You don't like SNL?
SNL isn’t funny anymore
Good Trump jokes. Those were the days
Yes. He was always a monster. Even then.
Louis Anderson pants falling down kills me to this day...😂😂😂

Wiil Lasso doing Mr. Rockso
Mad TV elevated comedy to an entire other level. SNL doesn't come close.

The best of american culture comes from black people. Besides cinema, all other good stuff comes from black ppl. And mexican right after.
Okay let me repeat your sentence but let me change the word to white
Yeah I'm pretty sure I would be told I was racist for saying that but you go ahead
You know, even if you try to use it in a positive way, it's still racist when you generalize an entire group of people.
Donald Trump makes an appearance.
