Maren is so humble and deserves all the success. I LOVE every song she has released. Her journey clearly shows this was meant to be for her!

This Is why I quit watching all these the Voice and American Idol shows. They turn down some of the best artist and musicians. I love the ones that make it on there own.
This is for any and everyone who's pursuing and chasing a dream. To me it goes to show that these shows have no idea what true talent really is and that people who want to make it in the industry DO NOT NEED THE LIKES OF THOSE TYPE OF SHOWS JUST TO MAKE. IT. You may hear a thousand no's but that yes is waiting,
and that yes is in your will to succeed so never give up and keep pushing and believing because that YES is waiting. When no one else believes in you,you must believe in yourself.

When I first heard My Church, it set my soul on fire. I listened to that song countless times in a row. Maren is enormously talented and she became my music idol instantly once I heard the lyrics and melody to My Church and 80's Mercedes.

My church is definitely amazing maren morris did an awesome job making My Church.
To be honest it makes sense to me that she wasn’t picked for the voice etc. a lot of those contestants have big voices but not much else. A lot of them don’t write much, if any, of their own music, and to be honest I think the reason a lot of them fade into obscurity is because they’re not unique and they’re easily forgotten when the next same-same reality star comes along.
Maren’s got a really unique voice, it’s absolutely beautiful but it’s not what sells on a reality show. It’s a bit gritty and a bit soulful and not like anything else. She writes all of her own music. She wasn’t made for that reality show machine and I’m glad they turned her down because had they not we probably wouldn’t have the Maren we know now.

I knew Maren back in TX when she was 19-20. I will say that the. It wasn’t so apparent she would blow up like this. My read of her was that music was a hobby and that she didn’t really believe (or want) she was good enough to blow up. I certainly didn’t see this coming. But she’s grown up a lot and I think that’s what made the difference. Good for her.

Grew up wanting to be a country singer but really she sings pop music. Country music is dead. I will say that a lot of song writers are coming out from the dark and putting out better tunes than the fake country acts that have been around.
