I recently discovered the best fuel is a bucket of lava! A single bucket will smelt over a stack of wood into charcoal. I adore this series and would love to see it continue into cozy winter vibes! ❤

Love your vids! I’m sure you already know this, but you can convert dirt to mud with a water bottle, then use pointed drip stone to “drain” the water and turn it into clay.

My wife and I are really enjoying this longplay. Recently I made a modpack on Forge for my wife (she plays very vanilla) but she need a few new blocks and such. I convinced her to let me add the Comfort mod and Sophisticated Backpacks mod. She likes having the sleeping bag so she can world build and not reset her spawn point. I'm not sure if she's using the backpack yet she was very iffy about using one. But I told her they are simple to make and you don't have to make any larger than a the basic size which about the size of a single chest. Long story short you can add some very small things and it will still be very vanilla. Beyond this longplay if you keep using Biomes O Plenty I recommend the Natures Compass mod it will help in finding resources with having limited time. Again, you're funny, witty, and you produce good entertainment.

I usually play in hardcore worlds, so every time we get Caving With Drift I'm so stressed, chanting "make a shield, please, make a shield!!!" at my screen 😅

7:59 Since it's the beginning of the world and you still have few resources, it would be a good idea to use a campfire to cook food, you can also use lava buckets to melt items like ores and clay, if I'm not mistaken, each bucket of lava can melt up to 100 items.
i think a good thing you could do to help you out more often (like when swapping between two building blocks consistently, or guiding cows while also placing things) is to use the F key to have your secondary building block or wheat in your off-hand so you can still use your main hand! :)

In minecraft, you dont find pits, they find you. They find me regularly.
I prefer labelling storage with signs too. They cause much less lag than item frames, and you can easily have several types of blocks in one container, with a clear label. With signs I have to remember that my chest with a gravel block on the item frame also stores rooted dirt or something.

I would love to see an enchanting set up.... yours are always different and it's fun to see what you think up each time
I'm still pondering what to do for an enchanting set up in this world. I often lean towards outdoorsy type builds but I feel like having it indoors could be really nice! Maybe a circular gazebo style build but with windows?

Not sure if you’ll see this since this is an older video, but you can find rooted dirt in the woodlands under the fallen logs! I use biomes o plenty and that’s one of the biomes I find a lot of it in :))
There should also be some in the fir wood clearing! Under any trees that are laying down I believe

You can also use only 1 charcoal/coal for all your food cooking if you make a campfire and use it instead of in your furnace!
The only downside to that is you don't get the XP from campfires.
Part of me wishes this was a long term series, but I think that might take away from the seasonal specialness.
Although this fall world may be a short series, I do intent to keep the commentary longplays going in the cozy longplay world that I have started recently!

also, you were talking about food, you rean right by berry bushes at the beginning of the video. i believe you can also use these berries to tame the foxes

I prefer minis. It seems like a regular bar is to much goodness. And I can have 4 different types of chocolate at one go with out having to add 50 miles to my run. Lol
Me too! I like that with mini chocolate bars I can eat an assortment of flavors and enjoy them all instead of having to choose
