I'm one of those Dadarrio only people. NYXL XT and XS are all awesome and I really only play Jackson. I'm also a weirdo that loves setting up Floyd Rose bridges almost all my guitars have one except for a couple hard tails. Anything Jackson you put out I will watch it. 😊
I have a early 2000 KE3 Kelly with the pile o skulls graphic. I think the Performer series was discontinued around 2000 when Fender was buying Jackson/Charvel
Strings: I'm mostly brand-agnostic with strings. I've probably bought and used more Ernie Balls than anything else. I DO like Fender's Bullet strings. They actually do what they say. Their problem is that they are expensive. I'm trying coated, colored strings now.
Hey sir, I know, I've already commented on this video. But, are you interested in doing like what a beginner effects pedal or processor?? I was thinking about the zoom effect processors...
i used Dean Markley for a long time and suddenly had the same problem. I bought some directly from them the last time but have since switched to other brands.
HI! I'm new to your channel, I recently went through detox after being an alcoholic for many years (too many) and the first thing I did, once I felt up to it , was pick up my guitar after 15 years. So, I'm a newish player, it's been about 3 months, and it's been wonderful. I bought a Jem Jr. Ibanez, Steve Vai signature model. Its lovely, but every time I play it, it goes out of tune and gets all buzzy by the first 3 frets. Any advice? Or should I just give up and make it a wall hanger... I'd hate to do that, but it's just a picky "you know what". I also have a Epiphone SG special which I play everyday because it never gives me any problems. Go figure. Lol. Great videos, keep em coming!
@@philipbeasley72 Thanks, I messed with it all day yesterday and found a lot of extra metal shards under the nut. I don't think they cleaned it up right at the factory before sending it out. I dropped it off with my luthier, and he's going to do some grinding and fix it. Once I get it back, it should be fine. I just don't have the tools to do it myself.

Woah! When did the string choice jingle get so much more character!? nice!
Oh a new jingle!! Kelly's are just cool
Yes and Yes on the Jackson and Dean videos! I watch all your videos man, you're just a good dude and always have cool guitars. Thanks for all you do!
Beautiful color...

Ernie Balls are ok but my preferred strings are D'Addarios. Also, the newer Fender strings are manufactured by D'Addario.
90's Jacksons have the best necks
Really enjoyed your BC Rich collection. Loved the paint jobs.
Thanks
I got rid of my only Floyd-equipped guitr, a beat up jackson usa, maybe 5 years ago. Great vid dealing with the Floyd 🤘🏼
Love my Kelly's. Just sick ass guitars!!!!!! Great vid- well done!!!! Love the channel!!!!
Nice axe man!!! If I were in your area I would defo defo consider buying it!!
Me too
Appreciate that you are an everyday guitar dude Dane. Do the Jackson collection. Interesting history, as well as the Dean history and collection
Marty Friedman style! Killer Jackson
I just picked this same axe (same color/vol-3way 1996) up for a good price, hoping my set-up goes as smoothly.
No neck dive is a great selling point for the shop owner and costumes

Sounds great, good job!
Should relocate that strap button to one of the neck screws to fix the neck dive
I got a factory 2nd one and its killer! I bet one that was built right is amazing!
Rock on Dane 🤘🏽
Nice looking guitar.🤟😁👍
I have to restring mine for the first time in a few days lol
I use 10 to 48/52 depending on the feel of the guitar..
I use DR strings
NYXL or Elixir strings are the best!!
That Kelly is pretty... Too put together for me though. I wanna do cool upgrades to whatever I want to play. 😊

Hey, what size truss rod wrench did you use? I got 7mm and 8mm wrenches from Amazon, but the 7mm is too small and the 8mm is too big
How much is that guitar selling for
Use to use Dean Markley, but can find them anymore. So I switched to Ernie Ball.

Try checking the nut height.
@@philipbeasley72 I'll try that, thanks for the advice!
@@Samantha-xz6ie do fret check on the 3rd fret and see the height. Check your string height and frets sprouts too

@@Samantha-xz6ie there you go. Sounds like you found the solution.
