My Mother is a Zeta! She pledged here in WASHINGTON, DC (where she grew up), in the 1940s, while she was a student at MINER TEACHERS’ COLLEGE!! Washington’s University of the District of Columbia traces its origins back to Miner, via Federal City College, etc. And Miner Teachers’ College was one of the THREE OLDEST HBCUs (Black American colleges and universities) in the USA: Cheyney and Lincoln universities in PA, and Miner. Originally Miner was called something like “Miner School for Colored Girls.” - Know and appreciate your/our history 😉 #BlackAmerica #Afroamericas #FinerWomanhood_ZetaPhiBetaSorority
This was truly a great and informative video. I loved hearing from the legacy members and how things were in the past. We learn from our history and continue to make greater strides toward our future. 🙏🏾
