- In today's Black Desert video we hunt a few bosses via the new Dark Rift update. Crazy right? Black Desert PvE?? Who knew it existed?!
I'm obviously joking. Black Desert has some cool PvE but the mechanics aren't too difficult when it comes to world bosses. It mostly consist of zerging the boss down. There are no dungeons/raids and the grind PvE doesn't really count as it's something you'll be doing for the entirety of your Black Desert career.
Anyway, this was fun :) and nostalgic.

glad to see you back on bdo! you got really lucky with those drops. Also, under the circle for the dark rifts you can see a difficulty (different from easy - very hard level) tier I - V (1 to 4), I being the weakest level, which degrades over time (one tier every 24 hours) I'm going to be honest and say that doing the dark rifts at their maximum tier (V) is a pain to do. They do significantly more damage and tank more :(. Doing it on my Maehwa gave me so much frustration. Watching you and your DK makes me want to roll a DK since it's so fluid and mobile and can attack from a safe range against these bosses -.-
The bosses degrade in strength over time, which is why they seem to be easier despite the tier level. They go from 5 down to 1 depending on how long you leave them for - it's a nice mechanic for lower geared players as it allows them to eventually kill the boss. I hope that explains the differing strength levels for you ^-^

I don't care if this game has mixed reviews and is called P2W and extremely grindy. I will still get it once I get a new PC just to play casually if nothing else to enjoy the classes, combat, and world that look so nice and ahead of all other games.
It's a fun game to explore and play casually, even if the game has it flaws it's pretty good imo

Been a while Cryy good to see you back on Blackdesert I must admitt I hate the RNG on the game reason why i stop playing over a year ago...might take anohter look.
I would rather be at max lvl with tons of stuff to do than just replaying trials/dungeons over, and over,and over to finally get the gear I wanted only to have a DLC nerfing the gear you relentlessly and boringly acquired with mediocre combat. BDO is none of that, you literally feel attached to your character and I literally smile when I have to grind killing 50, 100 or 200 mobs. He'll even the guild quest that offer 1000 mob kills.

Can you tell me what graphics settings you are using? It seems that you playing on mid to high settings and you are getting quite better frame rate than me.

Yea the RNG is more then depressing especially on the Lahn you have to put a lot more effort into not getting hit otherwise it becomes knock down and stun simulator

Same here bro i just login for reward if i dont feel playing. But still bdo is my main mmo. Dark rift is fun i just hope they can make it more like kurtzpel even with 2 people in a group. I really love playing with my son but bdo seems to hate the idea of grouping.

Honestly, this is a PvP focused game. You do the PvE to gear up for PvP. It sucks that this is true because this game would be perfect with REAL PvE :/

Kind of disappointing how easily you can solo end game bosses. I hope BDO XBOX is more group-based.
In a individualistic society xD it will NEVER happen. I mean we have BR games and MoBas xD where at 90% you solo play (give an exception for premade teams and so on).
The MMO genre is dying because of this NON - party based games xD.... So I really doubt in this period we will see ANY good co op games/true mmorpgs.
People in this era prefer to kill eachother instead of cooperate.
I really hope in 5years to see at least 1 MMO where without grind and a good party is impossible to achieve good results....I really miss old school MMOs.
Its not easy if you kill it immediately after it spawn. In this video, clearly the boss has weakened a lot. Dark rift have 3 difficulty level. Normal, hard, very hard and have 5 more difficulty levels, I-V. V mean boss are at its full strength. Very Hard V boss, killed soft cap player if not careful enough. It weakened because their wan't everybody can kill the boss even new player.

I think Projects BBQ is a possible game (MMO) for who loves the genre.(and the stylized art).
I personally love the fast paced combat system and the skill based gameplay.

(Out of Context) But I binged Claymore last week to relate and holy fuck was it worth it.
Really would have loved if this game had a bit more of quest progressing instead of mind numbing grind. I don't know what it is but I just can't sit and kill the same stuff for 15 hours, mentally that just triggers something in me, I mean even if it was kill quests to kill a couple different things for some reason that ends up feeling less grindy to me than just going out and grinding mobs w/o any type of quests. Got most of the classes in this game to 57 but I could just never be bothered to go beyond that, it's just way too tedious.

The PvE/PvP in this game is so much fun, great graphics, fluid combat and combos - like Vindictus but way better... I just wish the game was more centered around it. I enjoyed it a lot until it started getting into trade routes, hearing how much of the end-game was nothing but grinding for months on things that weren't battle related. Then there's the pay2win aspect of the game and just...no thanks.

The easiest way I've found to edit out clicks or background noise is to record 5-10 seconds of nothing but the clicks or noises, take the full audio into Audacity and using Noise Removal. I'm sure you do something similar, but it only takes a few minutes. Also, are you fucking serious? OGRE RING on your first box? lmao the luck

You know whats sad about this game? For an mmorpg the amount of party's formed and big player battles is really non existend. And i played quite a few mmorpg's but this world feels filled and empty all at the same time. Like right now? This game is super quiet. But that might be due to the games age

it's because he waited too long before fighting them, you can see that the bosses are PRI or DUO difficulty level. A brand new rift boss should be PEN. Every day the uncompleted dark rifts decrease in difficulty

Al Roker it’s definitely the best time to come back, everything I came back to not only a chunk of silver but a bunch of free goodies as well. It’s currently the 3rd anniversary of bdo so they gave out a free boss gear box for everyone, and this months attendance reward is giving out a free tier 8 horse. There’s plenty more but I’m too lazy to list it all. Either way it’s up to you in the end so you do you.
If they went this long with out thinking of any kind of pve content them im sure they will never think of it...pvp gets pretty stale.
