Appreciate the honest review, we use Neumann KH310s w Neumann sub in our space. Love the studio-recording content you put out. Cheers to Eve for sending these over to you, never heard of them before. BC
@@hoborec Ulf, you really need to check them out they are unbelievable . My recording partner has a killer Adams setup and he said if he had to buy again it would be the Neumanns. We like the sub because we are recording Baritones tuned to G and 37 scale Bass in G also. The sub helps us with those low freq. Otherwise you might not need one. If you buy them in the UK $3600 set and USA is $1000 more. Def one of the best purchases I've made. I would recommend them for sure. Cheers BC
Great honest review and straight to the topic, appreciate it :) Maybe try hedd type 20 if you like the ribbon tweeter. Think they are more natural sounding then the eve's.
@@hoborec Nice ! I bought a pair of one 18's for my studio and love their sound. not the most prominent sub bass as you said it is important for you.. but the bass is really relatable, not a rumbling mess. I think they also translate great.
@@hoborec Thanks for your response! Exactly what I wanted to know. I've been looking at Barefoot Footprint or Neumann kh310 as well. The Eve's appeared to be another option and I appreciate your candidness about these speakers. Looking forward to whatever you end up choosing.
@@hoborec Hello, midrange is also a thing that concerns me to pull the trigger. I know speakers did not worked out for You, but if You had to work on these -would You boost midrange and turn down lows in EQ to suit Your preference?
OMG almost 1200 euros. I don't even waste my time watching it cause with this situation I don't have budget even to dream with something like this. PS: 1666 euros, OMfG.
I would never prioritise that if this was my hobby. But it’s something I should work with every day. If it can help me get to where I want just a little bit faster it will pay for it self.

Thanks! I’ve been looking at those too. Do you need a sub with them?

Thanks for the tip. I’m thinking about going in a totally different way and try some Amphions. We’ll see where this ends.

@@hoborec Also the fact that the eves are rear ported they may be a bit bass heavy in that position. Yep try the Hedd 20s.
I remember my Dynaudio BM6a's going as deep as about 40hz, isn't that low enough? Nice honest review btw.
You might be right. We have a pair of BM6 in the studio too. Sounds great. Not as “direct” as the Core7. Perhaps a good thing.
Out of curiousity, could you elaborate on why you don't like using subs?
Did you try adjusting the eq controls in the front to dial them in at all?
Yes! I tried them a lot and tried to find a way to make them work for me. They were not bad, just not for me.
