Excellent painting (naturally). Visually nothing beats a Roman legionary in lorica segmentata and red tunic. I agree with your comments about the chainmail. With thousands of rings in a chainmail shirt, each ring interlocking with four other rings. I should think at this scale one would simply see a texture rather than obvious rings.
Thank you for showing. These look great. The red-metal combination always makes these Romans attractive to build. Your attention to bronze detailing add to their "magic" look. Looking forward to the next batch. I will take a look into the Scale 75 metallics. Gr Frank
Lovely work my friend
Thanks so much Matt!
These are beautiful John, thank you for posting 👍

@@JackSargePainting I can see some Roman Auxiliary Cavalry in your future John 👍

Thanks so much Paul.
Real Roman mail rings are 7mm across or less (down to about 3mm). 28mm figures are about 1/50th scale. You'd barely even see a texture! 😊
They look awesome mate 🥃🥃👍🏻
Much appreciated!
Very impressive mate 👍
Thanks Rob!

Thanks Frank. I can highly recommend the Scale 75 metallics. Currently working on the Aventine miniatures metal Romans.
Absolutely stunning work as always! Perhaps one day I'll get back around to my Romans. Always great to see what you're painting, thanks for sharing.
Thanks very much Viv 🙂👍
looking good mate
Thanks 👍
You've absolutely nailed these dude, sensational stuff! You're making it very difficult to not start a new project ;)
Thanks very much!
Wonderful looking miniatures. I think the slightly different reds help to add some visual interest.
Very kind of you.
Those romans look superb mate
Very kind of you Justin.
looks amazing , what red did you use?
Thanks Glen. You are testing my memory now, it was probably Deep Red, Blood Red & Antares Red from Scale 75....I think :-)
Now I have to finish mine...
With a name like Centurion I'm sure you can do it :-)

Cheers! I hope that is a good thing?
Do they seriously think the "optiones" actually went into battle with a ball on a stick? 😂
Thanks for watching and commenting.
